Goose Nest House: spacious, glass-fronted family-owned holiday home with stunning, uninterrupted views over Somerford Lagoon, the largest lake in Lower Mill Estate and the only lake with buildings only on one edge which give you privacy and wonderful views. Set in the 550 acre Lower Mill Estate in the Cotswold Water Park with its 450 acre private nature reserve boasting badgers, otters, deer and kingfishers amongst its residents. MAX 8 adults 2 children (up to age 10/11) and babies.

Guests of Goose Nest House have free access to the exclusive Artspa, available only to residents and guests of Clearwater Village, Lower Mill Estate. It has three swimming pools (including the unheated 'Eco pool' where you can swim amongst the water lilies), sauna, steam room, gym and pampering spa treatments from massage to manicure (treatments extra).

The house, with first floor living, has been equipped and furnished to a high standard to provide you with the perfect, peaceful place to unwind with friends and family for short breaks, tranquil get-away -from-it-all holidays or for the more active amongst you tennis, fishing, walking, sailing, riding, golf and water-skiing to name a few.

The floor to ceiling glass windows and doors in the open plan living room and in two of the bedrooms give you a fantastic view over the lake. And, as only one edge of the lake is built on, in the summer you can slide the doors open, lie in bed and enjoy the early morning sunshine without being overlooked. Or you can sit on the balcony and have a leisurely breakfast of freshly-baked croissant bought from the shop.

Inside, there is an oak-floored spacious open plan area with contemporary wood-burning stove, an oak dining table (seating 8+2), a luxury 'American' kitchen, four double bedrooms (two king, two twins) a small, specially designed child's bedroom (5 ft by 2 1/2 ft bed plus a travel cot) and luxury bathrooms with power showers throughout.

You can stroll around one of the seven lakes in the Estate, watch the wildlife through the many hides dotted around, follow the Thames Path to its source or simply sit on the balcony and watch the world go by.

For families, we have provided a home from home including two travel cots (new mattress), high chairs, child's cutlery, stair gates, safety plugs, baby monitor, child's bed, bed barrier, potty, bathmat, blender, sterilizer, baby and toddler carriers, toy box, DVDs and books. Owner's reply:
Thank you for your kind review and we are glad that you enjoyed your stay at Goose Nest House and the food at the on-site restaurant. Thank you also for your feedback on the televisions. On the whole, we find that visitors to Goose Nest House like to spend time with family and friends, make use of the nature reserve and spa so, whilst we appreciate some families want to watch telly, it is not usually high on our guest's list of priorities and we didn't want a very large TV to dominate the living area when there is that beautiful view over the lake. That said, the main TV in the living room is 35 inch - we appreciate that these days it is not considered `big` but it isn't small. The two TVs in the master bedrooms are smaller and we originally put them in mostly to allow children to watch telly while the adults caught up with one another. That said, we will look again at whether these are too small for people's expectations these days and thank you for bringing it to our attention. Madeleine
