“A beautiful home away from home in a stunning location!”
Cornerstone is a comfortable, extremely well-equipped 4-bed house, particularly suitable for families with children. The Wi-Fi was a really useful recent addition! The beds were particularly comfy with lovely bedlinen and the towels supplied were soft Egyptian cotton. Lovely smelling hand wash was supplied in all the bathrooms, and tea towels and a supply of dishwasher tablets were provided, which was very useful. We were also greeted with a generous welcome pack consisting of smellies, wine and chocs for the grown ups and a bag of things for the children to do, which was delightful! Our favourite thing about this property is that it comes with full access to the spa facilities and all the swimming pools, which not all properties on this park do. The water park is a stunning setting, with warm indoor and outdoor pools, safe cycling routes, tennis courts and playground areas, plus a little shop. The ponds and lakes are full of wildlife and there's always something to look at. Nearby Cirencester is a lovely town and we spent many a happy hour mooching around its markets, boutiques and cafes.
“Very comfortable and homely house in an attractive and peaceful location”
We enjoyed a very restful and relaxing week in this lovely home-from-home. The house is very warm and comfortable and the facilities on the Estate ensured that there was something for everybody to do whether it be swimming, steaming in the sauna, jumping on the trampoline or being massaged into oblivion. We walked, cycled and admired the views every day and at the end of the week, we left feeling the benefits of this wonderful tonic. This is a place for people who enjoy the outdoors, a cosy home and the sound of birds singing outside the bedroom window. We will be back!
Great house. Very cold outside for our weekend away but lovely to have the wood burner for a cosy atmosphere inside. Lots of little extras that the owners provided to make it feel like a real home from home. Exceptionally clean and spacious for 6 adults and 2 children. Outside heated pool (a memorable swim at dusk outside in the rain and steam rising off the water) and indoor pools are fantastic for the children and adults.
“Lovely cottage in a very quiet, peaceful location.”
Cottage was almost perfect. Great location near the spa, lake and shop, but it was also incredibly quiet and peaceful. We were two families of 4 so the two rooms with bunks were great for the kids and the two doubles perfect for the adults. Cottage has everything you need and is very clean and well presented. Access to the spa was great and the kids loved the pool. The only grumble would be a lack of storage space, but other than that all the living areas were spacious and comfortable. Would be great in the summer sitting on the deck near the water feature, but when we were there in March it was way too cold to sit out. The cottage itself was very warm and welcoming and the owners had left some champagne and a basket of goodies! Thanks Vanessa and Norman for such a good weekend.
“Fantastic house in a beautiful setting - would definiately stay again!”
We had a wonderful time at the Cornerstone property near Cirencester. We stayed for 2 nights over NYE and had such a lovely welcome (champagne, chocolates, wood for the fire!). The owners were a pleasure to deal with throughout the booking process and could not have been more helpful. The house was spotless when we arrived and had every amenity you could need - also great that you can use the on-site spa! Very special house in a lovely setting - would definitely recommend for group of friends or families with young children (as two of the rooms are bunk beds). Thank you!!
“We came home feeling refreshed, restored and relaxed.”
We wanted a few days away together to wind down and relax. There was bags of room for us as Cornerstone sleeps 8. Beds are comfortable and the spa bath is a bit of a treat. Kitchen facilities are good and we cooked an English breakfast in the mornings and sat on the verranda in the sunshine to eat. We spent several hours walking around the Estate, the weather was fantastic and the wildlife was interesting including seeing where beavers had been. We spent a long evening watching House Martins flitting around the building opposite. For evening meals we found a pub nearby with fab food and a selection of real ales. Cornerstone is also near enough to Swindon for discount shopping.
“A restful stay”
We arrived as part of a larger group of friends for a weekend stay. Cornerstone is situated down a very quiet lane and there was an instant sense of peace once we had got settled in. Cornerstone is well equipped with everything we needed to make our stay enjoyable - especially the dishwasher! The surrounding area offers great walks with lush countryside and Cirencester just a short drive away. The trip was very much enjoyed by us and all in our group
“Exceptional accommodation, surroundings and a perfect weekend”
We were celebrating my sisters 40th at Cornerstone, Lower Mill with all the family, and although the photos of the property looked nice when we arrived we were very pleasantly surprised. The house was lovely and warm and clean. A welcome basket with essentials was a bonus and the kitchen was very well equipped with everything you could possibly require. A prefect layout for a family get together downstairs. Upstairs there were 4 bedrooms, 2 king size, 2 bunk beds (these were larger than I imagined and were ideal for both children and adults). There were 3 bathrooms (2ensuite 1 bathroom) - perfect for a group of 8. The views from the balcony were lovely. The beds were very comfortable The facilities on the estate were perfect for all ages. Lovely walks, A park for the children and swimming in the Artpsa indoor and outdoor pool was a great experience for everyone in our Group. We ate out twice - although the Bakers Arms was recommended I think it is more the location (15 minute walk) than service and food. Whilst the food was edible, I would have preferred to pay £5 per meal rather than the £13 that some cost. It was nothing special and a slight tarnish to the birthday celebrations. Instead take a short drive to the Greyhound, it was much more accommodating and the food was delicious and presentation was lovely - we wish we had come here for the birthday meal An altogether relaxing, fun and enjoyable break in an exceptional house which was home from home and exceeded our expectations. We haven't stopped talking about it and will definitely recommend to our family and friends Booking via 'holiday lettings' was simple and the owners contacted me swiftly. All future correspondence was very efficient and professional but personal Thank you
“Fantastic, relaxing and comfortable - a real home from home.”
We had a fantastic two weeks staying at Cornerstone. The area is great for exploring - Cirencester is a lovely town. The nature reserve that surrounds the house has many opportunities for cycling, walking and nature spotting. The house itself is a real home from home with all the equipment and appliances one could wish for. The beds are comfy and the bathrooms numerous.
We really enjoyed our recent stay at ‘Cornerstone’. It is a peaceful tranquil refuge in amongst amazing scenery. The house is spacious and clean, we especially appreciated the Jacuzzi bath! The beds are comfortable with the two doubles having ensuites and a family bathroom for the other bedrooms. We enjoyed walking around the lakes (and we think we saw the beavers). We also enjoyed walking to the nearby Bakers Arms for a nice evening meal and also for a Sunday roast. Cirencester is handy for food shopping and the Great Western Outlet in Swindon for bargain hunting.
