Blueberry Cottage is a stunning holiday home located on a secluded 450 acre nature reserve in the heart of the Cotswolds Water Park. It offers spectacular views over Clearwater Lake. The house sleeps up to eleven guests plus one baby in five bedrooms.

The open plan living area in this home offers a large well equipped fully fitted kitchen with all quality appliances (including Dishwasher), a dining area and a very spacious living area with a wood burning stove and floor to ceiling glass windows opening directly onto the enclosed private timber decked sun trap balcony giving a completely uninterrupted view out onto the lake where you can enjoy seeing the extensive wildlife including swans, ducks, otters, rabbits... Downstairs, there is also a large decked fenced terrace with barbecue and table with seating for 8 that looks directly to Clearwater Lake.

The property has 5 bedrooms, 2 double bedrooms with en suite shower rooms, 1 bedroom with twin beds, 1 bedroom with two bunk beds, 1 single bedroom and a family bathroom.

You also have unlimited use of the award winning Artspa.

The Artspa has an indoor, outdoor and eco-pool, as well as a treatment rooms. Treatments are not included in the cost of the house rental but can be booked at an additional cost through the Artspa.

2nd Floor:

The Master Bedroom has a king-size bed, two bed-side cabinets, built in wardrobe, wall mounted TV with freeview and an en-suite bathroom consisting of a power shower, WC and Basin. Plenty of room for a travel cot.

1st Floor:

The large open plan living area has windows across the full width of the property, overlooking the lake, with sliding doors on both sides. The main room has four leather sofas (3 x 2-seater, 1 arm chair) a foot-stool and a coffee table. There is a log-burning stove.

There is a flat screen TV with Freeview, a DVD player and a music system with CD and ipod connection.

The dining area consists of a glass extendible dining table to seat 10 in comfort.

The enclosed balcony, which is safe for children, has a table and chairs and two benches for viewing the lake.

There is a large, modern Kitchen which is very well equipped with high quality appliances. It has a double oven/grill with 5 ring gas hob, a built in dishwasher, microwave and larder fridge with separate freezer, kettle, toaster and coffee maker.

The fifth bedroom is located at this level, it consists of a single bed, bedside table and a built in wardrobe.

Ground Floor:

The second bedroom consists of a double bed with two bedside tables, TV with Freeview, a wardrobe and an en suit shower room. The room is lake-facing and has sliding doors with direct access to the terrace. Plenty of room for a travel cot.

The third bedroom consists of two single beds with bedside tables and a built in wardrobe. The room is lake-facing and has sliding doors which open onto the terrace.

The fourth bedroom, at the front of the house, consists of two bunk beds (sleeps 4) with a built- in wardrobe.

The family bathroom consists of a full size bath with shower, WC and Basin.

Further details outdoors

The outside fenced terrace is perfect for dining al fresco and has a barbecue directly by the lake. There is a large glass table with 6 chairs, a further two seater wooden bench with table plus two sun loungers. There is also another terrace outside the living area overlooking Clearwater Lake. In front of the house there is a small grassed area with lots of abundant scented flowers.

In the grounds, there is also a tennis court, children's playground, trampoline, football pitch and lakes for boating and fishing and a large number of walking paths through the estate.

The Resident's Spa is stunning and has an indoor pool open all year and an outdoor heated pool open seasonally (and at Christmas and New Year). There is a gym, sauna, steam room and treatment rooms offering a range of Pevonia Botanica treatments.

The Cotswolds region

Lower Mill Estate is in the Cotswold Water Park at the Southern edge of the Cotswolds, easily accessible by road it offers a great base for exploring all the Cotswolds towns as well as Bath, Oxford and Cirencester, all within a 40 mile radius.

The source of the Thames is 4 miles away in Kemble. The Thames Path has many lovely walks along its 180 mile journey to the sea.

The Cotswolds are steeped in history from the Roman times and there are some beautiful historic houses and estates to explore: such as Chedworth Roman Villa, Dyrham Park, Sudeley Castle.The Cotswolds area is a popular area for its picturesque towns and rolling fields with beautiful towns such as Cheltenham and Cirencester, and many stunning villages such as Bibury, Stow-on-the-Wold, Burford and Moreton-in-the-Marsh.

Cheltenham became a popular spa in the 18th century, and its Regency architecture remains very well preserved, and it also offers an abundance of boutique shopping and restaurants.

Tewkesbury is home to the beautiful Abbey, one of the most popular spots in the Midlands for visitors. Stow-on-the-Wold is the highest point on the Cotswolds and Gloucester has a magnificent cathedral.

Lower Mill

Lower Mill is located five miles south of the historic Roman town of Cirencester, making it an excellent base for exploring the wider Cotswold area. There are many beautiful villages within a short drive.

Much of the 500 acre estate is given over to natural habitat and there are several sites of special scientific interest. Lower Mill takes its name from the historic water mill found at the entrance, one of only two still working on the river Thames, which flows through the area.

Lower Mill is within the Cotswolds Water Park holiday area with lots of water based activities from a man made beach to waterskiing, angling and sailing.

There are many picturesque local pubs and restaurants within a short drive and The Bakers Arms in Somerford Keynes (serving food all week) is within walking distance. An organic shop is also located by the water mill for daily essentials. As well as a wide variety of birdlife on the eight lakes found at Lower Mill, other residents include barn owls, deer, otters and the only "wild" beaver population in the UK.

There are over 100 lakes in the area, some are kept as nature reserves but many are used for fishing, kayaking, sailing, waterskiing and windsurfing. Golf, bicycle hire and horse-riding are also just a few minutes drive from the house.

Potting Shed Pub in Malmesbury and restaurant at The Rectory in Crudwell are worth a visit.

If the weather is poor there is a large indoor play centre at Magicland in Cirencester and Swindon has bowling and a multi screen cinema as well as a large shopping centre. MacArthur Glen Outlets can also be found near junction 16 of the M4.

For animal lovers there is Butts Farm and the Cotswold Wildlife Park. The Swan, great pub is 7 mins away.

"Excellent - exceeded expectations!"

This property was excellent. We visited as a group of friends and this holiday offered the perfect relaxing holiday. The middle floor with kitchen, living room and dining room was fantastic - its well decorated and homely too. Although this is a terrace cottage, we could not hear our neighbours, and the bushes in the lake add privacy to outside seating. The bedroom s were adequate, but fitted our needs and would better suit a family. The two ensuites and family bathroom were great for group size too. The spa is also literally 2mins round the corner and the staff there are lovely. Don't be deterred by lack of reviews, this is a great find!
