“Amazingly relaxing weekend in a fabulous waterfront house”
This house is amazing, as is the whole Lower Mill Estate. We arrived later than expected on Friday night and Jamie, the Guest Relations Manager, was happily waiting ready to show us around the house. As we arrived in the dark we had the added bonus of waking up to the most wonderful view, it's beautiful, and very relaxing to sit looking out over the water. The house is decorated to a very high standard with a very well equipped kitchen. We cooked a full roast dinner for 7 and had everything we needed! The estate itself is lovely, we took advantage of the pool, the restaurant and the Miss Mouse nature trail; remember your wellies! By the end of our long weekend we were all sorry to leave and hope to return in the not too distant future.
“Perfect weekend away!”
A family of 8 of us stayed for a weekend. We really enjoyed our stay. The house is very modern and clean and has beautiful lake views. The outside deck area is lovely for drinks/BBQ's. The facilities on the estate were brilliant. We especially enjoyed the tennis / gym and indoor/outdoor pool. We would definitely return in the future.
“A great time was had by all!”
Jamie was just superb in helping us make this a truly special family occasion. The help we recieved in planning and booking was second to none. The property itself needed a little TLC but the accommodation it provided was really good
“Perfect place for a short get away!”
We had a wonderful time at harrier lodge. Jamie was great on arrival and was there if we needed him. The wifi in the property was a bonus when it came to keeping the kids entertained when the rain came on. Can't recommend this place highly enough.
“Great family stay”
Stayed here for the first weekend of half term; two families with 4 young children. The space was great and really practical for two families. We love the Lower Mill Estate and will definitely be returning!
“Outstanding location and top class villa”
We arrived around 8.30pm at night (long journey) to find the place lit and heated for us already with lovely relaxing music playing. Nice touch. The Villa itself is amazing, massive and well decorated. The location is outstanding. We went for some lovely walks around the lakes. We also used the spa with out 4 month old son going for his first swim in the pool. Very family friendly. We have family in both swindon and wolverhampton so this was an ideal base for us to visit them both. We also jumped a train into London and took in the show Miss Saigon in the west end. It was a great week and we would highly reccommend.
“Blissful down time in luxurious surroundings”
When life becomes a hectic merry go round and I find myself thinking 'Stop I want to get off!' Then it is time to disappear into the Cotswold countryside. Spa Lodge at the Lower Mill Estate is the perfect place to unwind. The whole family (there are five of us) explored the lakes by bicycle, stopping to admire each view and keen to take the best photograph, before moving on to discover the next. Lots of lovely fresh air, plenty of wildlife and only the sound of birds echoing across the water. Early evening was spent relaxing in the pool at the luxurious Spa and then later back to the lodge to enjoy the beautiful sunset from the comfort of the deck area. The accomodation was superbly clean and comfortable and Jamie the Guest Relations Manager made us very welcome and answered all our questions with enthusiasm. We all thoroughly enjoyed our week at Spa Lodge, which gave us much needed quality time together.
“The best accommodation I have ever stayed in”
From the first moment of arriving and meeting our host to leaving, the accommodation and facilities were 5 star!! The setting was great the village and site were great. The villa itself was spotless and the afternoons and evenings overlooking the lake with a glass of wine were superb!! The 4 swimming pools and onsite shop and play grounds were great. All in all a great holiday.
“lovely property in a great location”
Harrier Lodge was the ideal place for me, my husband and 3 teenage children to stay for my birthday weekend. Looking out onto Clearwater lake from the dining area and our bedroom was so relaxing. It's great to watch swans gliding along as you tuck into your breakfast.! The lodge sleeps up to 9, so there were enough rooms for the children to have a room each. It is clean, comfortable and modern, and attractively furnished. I would say if 8 or 9 people stayed there, seating would be a little limited, as the dining table seats 6, and the sofas would only acommodate 6. (there is one armchair in addition to the 2 sofas) I think the size was ideal for our size party. We had a warm welcome from Jamie, the care-taker, who had turned the lights and heating on, and put on some music for our arrival. He visited soon after we arrived, and gave us passes for the spa. We made good use of the spa which was a very short walk away. I indulged in a massage, as well as using the pool, and my sons were delighted to have access to the gym. There is a shop and cafe on the estate, but unfortunately was closed. However. this did not detract from our overall enjoyment of the weekend. If you book Harrier Lodge, don't forget to pack teabags, sugar and coffee as the only thing provided was salt.. We would love to return during the warmer months and have a barbecue!
