The Devon region
The area is famous for golden sandy beaches at Westward Ho!, Woolacombe and Croyde, perfect for surfing, sailing, kite flying, water sports and kayaking, and other activities include coastal walks, cycling, horse riding, fishing and golf.
There are many places of interest nearby, Appledore is a maze of narrow streets and fishermen’s cottages with an abundance of art galleries and craft shops. Clovelly has a cobbled, traffic free high street, built into the cleft of a 400’ high cliff and with stunning views and peaceful tranquillity it is definitely worth a visit.
Close to the sea but in the heart of Devonshire countryside, Marsh Cottage is in an ideal location for adults and children alike. The cottage is in a wonderful location in the peaceful hamlet of Lovacott. Yet only three miles from Barnstaple and the A39 Atlantic Highway; it is very easy to find and terrifically convenient for exploring the whole of North Devon (if you can drag yourself away from the cottage and garden!).
The quiet hamlet of Lovacott is a friendly place and lies one mile from Newton Tracey offering a very good family pub which accepts dogs.
The Tarka Trail is fantastic cycling for all the family. It boasts 30 miles of cycle track – which follows an old railway line and hosts beautiful river views. It is ideal for families and novices as well as the keener cyclists. www.devon.gov.uk/tarkatrail

"Very comfortable with all amenities, very relaxing"
The property is in an easy to reach location but as expected reached via narrow roads. The kitchen dining area is large and the centre of all activities. Quiet away from it all snug for the children with plenty of games, TV, Wii etc. The double bedrooms are very comfortable and the single and bunk bedded room ideal for children. Reasonably large outside area to relax
