Villa Daphne enjoys an superb position, just 3 minutes walk down a private path,through mature gardens, to the crystal clear sea. The villa's design ensures privacy and stunning seaviews that can be enjoyed by the residents from all interior and exterior areas. A large swimming pool compliments the villa and the surrounding lush gardens filled with endemic plants,flowers and fruit trees lead to two shaded large pergolas, a stone BBQ and a private path to the sea.
The smart design of the interiors offers luxury and space in every room. The marble floored living room is furnished with comfy sofas and Artemide lighting. Large glass doors allow the views to the sea to be enjoyed from every corner whereas the shaded terrace is perfect for day and night meals. A large twin bedroom with ensuite bathroom and private large balcony with coffee table and chairs is also on this floor. The modern kitchen is fully equipped with every cooking facility and the seaviews are not forgotten

Upstairs, an open plan office corner, with desktop computer, library and a small sofa come to ease those who need to do some work while on holiday!
Three more bedrooms are on the first floor, all with ensuite bathroom, , each with their own large balcony and coffee furniture. On the lower ground floor, theretreat room: a sauna, hammamm and steam shower, a small gym and utility area, leading out to lawned gardens. On this floor, an independent small apartment that comprises of one en suite bedroom, and a small kitchen, can be rented at a supplement and only along with the main villa, to accommodate larger groups of friends or family.
The swimming pool is surrounded by colourful flowers and a wooden deck and from here there is access to the lower private lawn garden of the villa, perfectly safe for young and old. A walk through the private paved paths through boucanvileas and geraniums, lead first to the shaded stone built BBQ area, which hosts a large stone top table that can seat twelve. There is a traditional wood burning oven here, a grill, sink and gas cooker as well as a small fridge and cutlery to make life easier if you are planning a BBQ. Here, tha old carrob tree offers thick shade, so a swing and gazebo are placed to make life more fun! The vegetable and fruit garden, looked after by the owner and the gardener, are there for guests to help themselves and the fresh aromatic herbs have been thought of too! The last few meters of the garden lead through a small gate right to the sea where a refreshing swim or an afternoon fishing attempt are a must!

Impenetrable but yet such majestic gorges, holy caves, blessed rivers and lush, green plateaus thickly covered with olive and citrus trees. It is a self-sufficient land in every way that is rich in endemic and rare flora and fauna.We highly recommend that you take a stroll in the city centre of Hania which is steeped in history; a sightseeing tour of the crossroads and the winding cobbled paths of civilizations with the starting point being the most central point in Hania: the Municipal Market or the Agora.The Venetian old town with its harbour and Lighthouse, with its excellent restaurants and shops will fascinate you!

Loutraki

Loutraki is a pretty small cove with a sandy beach and very clear turqoise sea. There is a small beach taverna and also a lovely restaurant located just above the sea, serving excellent seafood and cretan specialities.

Below this restaurant, a large lawn area along the coast with parasols and sunbeds available for hire, seems to be THE place to be! Small boats and the occasional yacht, will approach the Loutraki cove and these seem to be the only passing traffic! Near Loutraki, Marathi, offers two lovely sandy beaches and several seafront tavernas , well known to the locals!

Further in Akrotiri, the two historic monasteries, unique architectural treasures, can be visited, and further, the cosmopolitan Chania town with its endless choice of restaurants, shops,antiquities, museums and cultural events is only 17 kms from Loutraki.

“Amazing...!”

The Villa near Sternes village was amazing. Me and my family, total of 7 people, stayed there for a week and the hospitality, and actually everything, was awesome - The views from the villa to the sea and the gardens on the area and everything! There also was a great barbeque area just below the villa and it was a great place to throw parties or just small get-togethers. We know we will be getting rental villas from this real estate agent again, thank you so much!
