Acorn Lodge is a Scandinavian chalet style log lodge built in 2004 by Norwegian Log, set in 80 acres of ancient bluebell woodland on a private 320 acre estate on the outskirts of the Georgian market town of Louth, often called the capital of the Lincolnshire Wolds.

Acorn Lodge is one of a few lodges fitted with a wood burning stove for those colder evenings.

This central, peaceful and relaxing location is ideal for short breaks, family or group holidays in an area of outstanding natural beauty and is central to Lincolnshire's many attractions. Follow your interests, sit back and enjoy the flora and fauna on site or explore the many local attractions from the Cathedral and Castle walks in Lincoln to the Seals of Donna Nook and the BBMF (Battle of Britain Memorial Flight) Visitor Centre. Acorn Lodge provides complimentary membership for guests to the Kenwick Leisure Facilities which are located next to the Hotel approx 0.5 miles from The Lodge. Kenwick Leisure facilities consist of, Swimming pool, coffee shop which overlooks the pool and a Gymnasium. The Hotel provides a timetable of activities which are chargeable such as Clarins Beauty treatments, Tennis courts, Yoga, Salsa etc.

Are you a Golfer:

Acorn Lodge is located adjacent to a championship standard, 18 hole, par 72, 6782 yard course, designed by Patrick Tallack and opened in 1992. It offers impeccable tees and greens with fairways carved through mature woodland. It offers professional PGA qualified tuition. It has a covered driving range, over 300 yards long, a custom built practice chipping area with green, 2 bunkers and a putting green. This course will challenge the low handicapped golfer as well as providing enjoyment for the less well accomplished.

The Clubhouse and Pro Shop has been created from a grade 2 Listed 19th century Coach House and Stable Block and features a newly added restaurant and function room.

The pro shop and Golf Academy are quality facilities. These facilities incur additional costs payable on site:

• Championship Standard 18 hole golf course (handicap certificate required).

• Golf carts.

• Golf driving range.

• Golf Pro shop.

Woodland Holiday Lodges, which includes Acorn lodge, are cleaned and serviced to a high standard by our own service company. Mike is your onsite coordinator who will assist you with any queries and point you in the direction of local amenities.

Groups and clubs can be catered for on the same site as additional 2 or 3 bedroom Lodges are available via your coordinator. Some of these Lodges are listed on this site with the heading Woodland Holiday Lodges.

Very sorry to hear abut the noisy people in Lodge next door which is let via the Kenwick Park Hotel. The site now has new owners and they need to crack down on this. If Mike (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
