Old head beach apartments are located on old head beach. There are private steps from the apartment to the beach. The area has a famous mountain Croagh Patrick, nearby town Westport boasts many lovely restaurants, Bicycle trail in westport to Achill island. From Louisbourgh one can easily take ferry to Clare Island. Delphi adventure center nearby also Leenane famous for the film the quiet man.Old head is a blue flag beach.. which means it is very clean and safe to swim. There is always a life guard on duty during the summer months.

There is a famous holy mountain 'Croagh Patrick' which attracts many thousands throughout the year.. In July there is an annual pilgrimidge up the mountain. There are some fabulous beaches to surf on... surf lessons during summer months... Lovely resturaunts....There is the most amazing drive between Louisburgh and Lenane (famous for the movie 'the Quiet man') Breath taking views of mountains and valleys.Delphi lodge and adventure center is 15 Km away where you can kayak, hill climb and many other activities or just relax in the spa.
Louisburgh
Louisburgh is a very small town on the north west coast of Ireland. It is very friendly and extrememly welcoming. There are some lovely pubs and resturaunts in Louisburgh. In July there is a famous music festival. It is surrounded by some fabulous beaches, including Old Head.
