“Home from home.”

Reviewed 26 Mar 2013

I stayed at Apartment 9A1 from January to March the 27th and Willie's apartment had everything in it you would have at home ie:42" plasma T.V.washing machine,fridge-freezer,microwave,electric oven, iron and ironing board. The apartment also has a big terrace with two sun beds provided. The apartment is on the ground-floor and the complex also has a machine that provides you with fresh water for 50 cents for four litres, this saves you having to carry back water from the supermarket near the Arona Gran hotel so make sure you don't throw the water container away. There is a pool bar on site and they also provide meals if you don't feel like cooking.Internet access is also available on site or bring your own computer and pay to log into the hot spot but be advised that it is slow although fast enough for radio listening, reading on-line newspapers and reading and sending emails. The best beach that also offers whale-watching trips,a multi-lingual pharmacy, cafes, bars etc is about a ten minute walk away along the coastal path,go through the tunnel and that takes you to Las Americas and all the way to Adeje if you feel like a few hours walk.I had a great time and can't wait to return next January.

Excellent apartment, really good complex, decent size pool, good staff on-site.Lots of good beaches.Well worth a walk to Las americas. We stopped at lots of bars and cafes in the time we were there and can honestly say we never found a bad one.If you want a short day out take the 467 bus to Las Galletas.Lovely small harbour with some very nice restaurants.Los Christianos is well laid out and kept spotless. It was 25c/77f yesterday 18/12.Willy has been the perfect owner, helpful with advice and quick to respond to any queries. Will definitely go back

“Perfect location”

Reviewed 13 Oct 2012

As Im the latest to review this review will be slightly different from the others. William is a brilliant owner and always was helpful before and during our stay in his apartment. Whenever I emailed him I had a reply within a couple of hours every time. The apartment is well equipt with a 42" flat screen tv that has BBC ENGLAND and BBC SCOTLAND as well as ITV and various other channels. The kitchen is well equipt for all your home cooking if you so wish, everything is supplied. It has a nice swimming pool within 20 paces and a bar also within 20 paces. The apartment is on a hill, Its not actually fair to call it a hill its more like a slope so you go left outside the apartment to go towards the sea front or right to go uphill to find the nearest bars and supermarket. Its not a steep hill by any means as lots of elderly people are walking up and down every day but I thought it worth mentioning, Also if you cross the road into the central reservation the path up and down is a credit to the resort, its palm trees etc all the way up and down, it really is beautiful to walk here. The traffic outside the apartment is very light, Im a light sleeper but never once did the traffic wake me up. Its located about 7 minutes walk away from the seafront then another lazy walk of 5 minutes to the first sandy beach. Another 5 minute walk and you are on probably the best beach on the island, its like a large double horseshoe shape, very wide, never overcrowded and clear sea. There is a large choice of restaraunts within 200 metres of the apartment and loads more near the sea front, every taste is catered for from English, Scottish, Spanish Indian, Chinese, Mongolian, just about everything. Los Cristianos is very wheelchair friendly, there were plenty of them around and even on the beaches they were catered for with walkways everywhere and even purpose made wheelchairs to help disabled people into the sea if they so wished. They even have men raking the beaches by hand daily taking away any stray bits of seaweed or cigarette butts. The street outside the apartment and all the resort is very very clean, its swept every morning and the whole of Los Cristianos is basically spotless. Mosquitoes love to bite me but I never encountered a single bite here in two weeks so dont worry about the mossies. I never found a Spar supermarket, I have a feeling its changed its name now but if you turn right out of the apartment and walk for 5 minutes there is a big supermarket with reasonable prices inside a shopping complex. The taxi fare cost us 24 Euros one way and 22 Euros back to the airport, it is a 15-20 minute drive, you can order a local bus through services on the complex but it takes over an hour according to our neighbour on the complex who visits twice a year. I can give you 3 visits that I highly recommend. 1. Loro Parque, its like Seaworld, Orca whales, Sea lions, a fantastic penquin setting and best of all the Dolphins. It also has a bird show, parrots everwhere and plenty of other animals. The downside was we were told it takes 1 and half hours to get there, it actually took 2 hours 20 minutes each way because of all the pick ups the bus has to make. 2, Siam park, if you like water fun this is a must, Im a poor swimmer but some of the rides were fantastic, again this is immaculately kept in pristine condition, I loved the whole setting and 75% of the rides, the remaining 25% I chickened out of. 3. Sightseeing the Whales, we just took the 2 hour trip and that was perfect, there were about 20 Pilot Whales that swim alongside the boats, we also saw 2 dolphins but other trips didn`t manage to see any dolphins but the whals are pretty well garaunteed. I liked to keep in touch with my lads back home via Email or Whatsapp. At around 30% of restaraunts they will either offer free Wifi or if you ask them nicely they will give you the password. Towards the end of our holiday I had about 6 passwords so each time I passed a bar or whatever my phone picked up their wifi connection and downloaded any messages from back home, perfect. If you like a beer all along the seafront a pint of the local Dorado is an incredible 95c, can`t go wrong with that, its about £1.20 in Sterling. All in it was a very relaxing holiday, the temperature varied from 24c to 30c for the last week in September and first week in November. I hope you enjoyed my review, its truthful and hopefully informative for you. Steve.

“Beautiful apartment in the perfect location”

Reviewed 5 Jun 2012

Having been to Tenerife a number of times before, altghough never in Los Christianos, we knew that no matter the tiime of year, you are always going to get to see the good weather. This apartment topped it off though. A 15 minute drive from the airport (15-20 euros), it is a well maintained apartment in a tidy and peaceful complex, and in the perfect location on the island. The entire patio which overlooks the pool gets the sun for almost the whole day so there is little need to venture to the pool side - until you need to take a cooling dip in the water! (or head to the bar for the cheapest pints we could find on the island -1euro!). The complex management staff (Victoria Services) were most helpful and will gve you information on most of the islands excursions. The kitchen is well equiped for self catering, although we ate out every night there is everything you would need to make yourself a meal on site. Nearby you have a local SPAR which stocks everything you could possible need for your stay, incase you forgot to pack any essentials. A strip of bars and more restaurants which get quite busy in the later hours, but always friendly service. The best of which, has hands down, got to be teh Mongolian Buffet which is just a stones throw up the hill fromthe apartment. (Thank you for the recommendation Wiilie!) A short walk down to the beach where there is countless restaurants and entertainment, stretching round the harbour and onwards down to Las Americas - its about a 15/20 minute walk but worth it for some nicer pubs/bars/restaurants (although a bit more expensive). Be sure to venture off the beaten track and you'll find some hidden quiet restaurants where the food/service/quality tops that of most of the busier places. Be sure to plan ahead if you want to visit Loro Parque, as it is a 2 hour drive in each direction (on the excursion bus) and means you might not have as long in the park as you wished. If there is one place you go on your holiday be sure to head to the new water park "Siam Park" - it definately competes with the larger water parks in the US. Would like to thank Willie and Christine for all thier help in getting the apartment booked, and for being so accomodating. Can be sure we will be back again soon enough - although, unsurprisingly by the looks of it we will need to book up quick! Thanks Ross Campbell

“perfect home away from home, with 2 toddlers absolutley no stress”

Hi Willie and Christine, > Wanted to drop a line to say a massive thank you for use of your apt > last week, absolutely loved it everything you could ask for in it > didn't even have an item of washing returning from holidays for the > first time ever. The late check out was a major advantage for us too > with 2 toddlers we were able to enjoy full day last day with no > stress, will definitely be booking for next year over the next few > weeks and recommending it to family and friends. > Thanks so much again, > Kindest Regards, > Karen & Richard Harris. Spar within walking distance, good restaurants would highly recommend Taylors, beach in los cristianos wasnt great but found a perfect one beyond the first with real sand! only 20 min walk from apt. It is a quite location would only recommend it for those in search of a relaxing break but Las America's Veronica Strip is only a taxi ride away for 10 euros for the night life!!
