Los Alcazares is a recognised resort for safe beaches, watersports, golf, cycling and family holidays. Within a ten minute walk, there are numerous restaurants catering for fine dining for special occasions, through to american diners and pizzerias. The Region of Murcia region

Los Alcazares is located in the Region of Murcia, an autonomous Province. Murcia is traditionally an agricultural and wine making region but over the last ten years has become a major tourist Region boasting many blue flag beaches, Los Alcazares being one of them.The ancient City of Murcia is approximately 25 miles inland and has many historic sights of interest, especially the Cathedral.Murcia was the home of the famous spanish writer Cervantes who scribed Don Quixote. There is a large National Park close to Murcia City known as the Sierra Espuña which has some of the best walks around. There are also opportunities for quad biking, kayaking, mountain biking and white water rafting.The old Naval City of Cartagena has a natural Sea Port and is now home to many of the visiting Cruise Liners. There are boat trips around the harbour and has a recently discovered amphitheatre which is now open to the Public.

Los Alcazares

Los Alcazares is located on a natural warm water Lagoon separated from the Mediterranean by a strip of land known as La Manga.There are various blue flag beaches and Marinas dotted around the Mar Menor. All the beaches have easy access disabled access and many of them have lifeguard cover during the Summer months.When visiting Los Alcazares you do not require a car, as everywhere is within easy walking distance or cycling.The Old Town of Los Alcazares remains fundamentally unchanged with traditional spanish restaurants, bars and shops.There is an interesting courtyard in the Old Hotel known as Encarnacion which is famous for fine dining and has marble thermal baths.Los Alcazares has two golf courses on its doorstep, Roda Golf and Beach Resort and La Serena Golf Resort.The town is now on the main European Motoroway (E15) which goes from the French Border all the way down to Gibraltar.

“Lovely property”

This 2 bedroom property is ideally situated in Los Alcazares for the local amenities - 15 minute walk to shops,restaurants and pubs. Saturday market is literally on your doorstep.The beach is also in close proximity. This quiet location boasts beautiful walks along the beach promenade, or even just around the town to shop, eat, drink. The property is compact. It is fully furnished. The information book is packed with guidelines for all the equipment in the house;visiting places of interest; recommended restaurants. Ideal for holiday rental. Not for long term rental.

“A little gem”

Our second time in Sunnyside was even better than the first. Well equipped with everything you would need for a relaxed holiday. It even had a great TV and music system that worked beautifully. So many little bars and restaurants nearby so we didn't use our car very much. The air-conditioning and ceiling fans were a boon since we arrived in a heatwave. They allowed us a good nights sleep. The whole place was immaculately clean with hot water on tap. The roof terrace was a great place for an early sunbathe and an evening nightcap. The front tiled terrace was brilliant for people watching, especially on market day (Saturday). Like ourselves, previous holidaymakers had left a good supply of things like oil, salt, vinegar etc so it really is worth checking in before you do your shop. We generally like to try different places when we are away but found being familiar with the house and the area allowed us to get into our holiday mode right away. We have found a little gem in Sunnyside and are looking forward to our third visit already.

We met the owners of the property when we arrived and they showed us around the property and they supplied a folder with details of all the local amenities, which was very useful as we had never been to this area before. Overall the holiday was a great success, the weather was great and we were only a short walk to the beach with plenty of local bars and tapas bars close by. If you want a night out, but close by, the "square" was only ten minutes’ away and had a variety of different restaurants to suit almost every taste. We found the costs to eat out cheaper than most other parts of Spain. We particularly enjoyed the old town and they had a number of good quality of restaurants and local bars. We would normally take the little train, which had a pick up point diagonally opposite the house at the roundabout with a train statue on it. After we had eaten it was a short stroll back to the house and would normally take about 40 minutes along by the beach. Overall we had a great time in a property which was immaculately clean, very comfortable and with the benefit of three outside spaces - what more do you want! There is also a wonderful market right outside on a Saturday where you can get all sorts of fresh food items etc. at a very reasonable cost! We are planning to come back next year and for two weeks rather than one!

This villa was spotlessly clean, well equipped and comfortable. The owners were most helpful. The roof terrace is a wonderful area to just chill and relax and watch the world go by. Will definitely be visiting again.
