The apartment is located 10-15 minutes walk from the lovely sandy beach of Los Alcazares, and a short walk to the local shops, bars and restaurants. It is situated in a small, friendly complex with beautiful gardens and swimming pools.

The comfortable, tastefully furnished lounge and dining area has a DVD player and Satelite TV with numerous British channels. The well equipped kitchen has a fridge freezer, microwave, touch control ceramic hob, oven and washing machine. There are ceiling fans in the lounge and bedrooms, plus air conditioning. There is access to the large, private roof terrace from the balcony, which is an ideal place to relax and sunbathe, or even enjoy a glass of wine while overlooking the attractive gardens. The communal pool and separate children's pool are 20 yards from the apartment, making it ideal for families to cool down on a warm summers day.

Hiring a car is not essential as all facilities are close by with a regular bus service to Cartegena, Alicante, & Murcia. Satellite TV has numerous British channels, and radio stations.Bathroom and hand towels are provided. Beach towels are not supplied. There is a no smoking policy inside the apartment, however an ashtray is provided for use on the balcony and solarium.

The spacious roof terrace is reached by private stairs from the balcony. There are a patio table and chairs, as well as sun loungers. There is ample allocated car parking.

The Region of Murcia region

The Costa Calida means 'warm coast' and with an average of 320 days of sunshine a year, along with the mild temperatures, it is a very popular destination throughout the year, enjoying warm sunny days throughout the year.

The cultural city of Murcia is a 30 minute drive away, and well worth a visit. The city is steeped in history, and there is plenty to see amongst the plazas, shop lined streets, and the amazing cathedral. There is also a large new shopping complex, with bowling alley and even Ikea!

The Roman city of Cartagena, 20 minutes south by car, is also a fascinating place to visit . Cartegena has a magnificent port, and many other sights to see, such as the Roman theatre, and Castilla de la Concepcion (with fantastic views over the harbour - See my photograph library for details).

The Calblanque Nature Reserve is situated on the Mediterranean coast, and has superb, peaceful beaches.

There is a waterpark for the young at heart in Torrevieja, just 30 minutes by car along the coastal road.

Los Alcazares

The popular town of Los Alcazares is situated on the shores of the Mar Menor, a large saltwater lagoon, renowned for its therapeutic properties. The warm, shallow water and long stretch of sandy beach, makes it ideal for families and sun worshippers alike. The tree lined promenade is a great place to stroll along and boasts many tapas bars and cafes.

For those wanting to be a little more energetic, there is cycle hire available in the town, as well as tennis, Go Karts, and pedaloes. The Mar Menor is perfect for windsurfing, sailing, canoeing and kite-surfing.

As well as shops, banks and bars, there are a wide range of restaurants to choose from within a short walk from the apartment. These include superb English, Spanish, Chinese and Indian. There are street market s held on a regular basis in the old part of Los Alcazares, providing a great opportunity to pick up a bargain. Details of local markets can be found in the Welcome Book within the apartment.

Golfing holidays

To ensure golf enthusiasts make the most of your holiday and offer you value for money, I have good links via a local contact with the local PGA Championship courses in the locality, and can offer you a golfing “package.” This includes pick up / collection to/from the local golf course of your choice, green fees, golf club rental and buggie(s) (if required). Prices vary throughout the year but typically we can offer approx a 30% discount on golf packages. Please enquire for the latest golf holiday package to suit your needs. Short break holidays are an ideal way to take advantage of this. For golfers, there are two 18 hole championship golf courses (La Serena and Roda) within 5 minutes drive. A further 20 minutes drive, you will find Mosa Trajectum (27 holes), La Torre (18 holes), Torre Pacheco (9 holes), Mar Menor (9 holes), and the world renowned 3 courses at La Manga Club.

“Great apartment”

I had one of the most relaxing holidays whilst staying in Los Alcazares. The apartment was spotless, comfy beds and the added bonus of being in a safe, relaxing and friendly complex. The apartment was spotless and had a well equip kitchen (if you are going to eat in I would recommend Lidl which is about 5-10 mins walk away. The rook terrace was an added bonus and was a sun trap from sun rise to sunset with great views over Los Alcazares. Would highly recommend to all, ideally located 10 minutes from the bars and restaurants and 15 minutes walk from the beach. Can not wait to go back again!

From the moment my friend and I arrived to both the apartment and the resort of Los Alcazares we fell in love with it instantly. The apartment was spotless, had every thing that we need and a huge plus was the advantage of the private roof terrace that was such a sun trap. A well looked after complex which we found peaceful, however friendly. About 10 minutes stroll from the apartment was the beach which was perfect to chill and spend lazy days sunbathing and relaxing. We eat in the apartment most nights and a huge tip for anyone planning to do the same, go to the local Lidl, which was roughly 5 minutes walk away from the apartment. The quality of all the food was to a very high standard and found the cost so much cheaper than the local supermarket in the center near the shops. I'm a keen runner and ran most morning along the beach front and round the resort of Los Alcazares and felt very safe, and loved the fact that it was very flat and also found a number of local parks where you could sit and soak up the scenery. I would highly recommend the apartment, complex and resort and I'm already looking at available dates to return again in September this year. I have never had such a relaxing holiday and the weather was fantastic. Finally, the beds were very comfy and I had some great nights sleep. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!! :)
