Description

Provencal Villa in Lorgues, 1 km. from town centre, walkable, sleeps 6, private pool.

The villa is in a peaceful location at the end of a private lane and is guarded by electronic gates. There are vines to one side and olives at the rear. This is a very tranquil setting but only 2 minutes by car from the thriving typical Provencal town. Lorgues is known for its excellent market on Tuesdays which people visit from all over the area. You can get all the regional crafts, as well as delicious cheeses, olives, fruits and vegetables, fish, pastas, prepared dishes etc.

About 40 minutes easy drive away is Ste Maxime on the coast, providing the easy route to St. Tropez. A 15 minutes ferry ride across the bay gives a wonderful view of the coast and berths on the quayside of St. Tropez with its mega yachts at anchor.

Also easily reachable by car is the Gorges de Verdon, a stunning area with the largest gorge in Europe, and surrounded by pretty mountain villages. There

There are many villages near Lorgues for 'day trips' with spectacular scenery, and many vineyards, for which the area is famous, for 'tasting' and buying, particularly the local rosé wine.. Several golf courses are within easy reach.

If the pool heater is required (unlikely in late June or July) there is an additional charge of £125 / 150€ per week which is deducted from the security deposit.

Lorgues and the surrounding area have many fine restaurants including one of the best at the end of the entry drive, and Bruno's, the world famous truffle restaurant, a short drive away.

All windows of the house have electric shutters providing total security at night or when you are away from the villa.
