Officially classified 5 stars, Le Jas Fontaine is a large property in compact, secure grounds, in a quiet location close to the centre of the pretty small town of Lorgues. Surrounded by wooded hills, vineyards and olive groves. Lorgues is situated midway between Nice and Marseilles with St Tropez to the south, and the lakes and mountains of the Gorges du Verdon to the North. Although located in beautiful countryside, Lorgues is easily accessible, just a few kilometers off the A8 motorway and the TGV railway station at Les Arcs-Draguignan. The house has five spacious and attractive bedrooms, four with king beds and one with twin beds. They are all air-conditioned and have their own bath/shower room and WC either en-suite or close by. One even has it's own small living room/kitchenette. There is also a small air-conditioned twin bedded room suitable for children/teenagers, plus a further WC. A travel cot is provided for a baby under 2 years old. There are inside and outside dining areas with a well-equipped kitchen and adjoining utility room located in-between. Facilities include electric oven, gas hob, fridges, freezer, dishwasher, washing machine, tumble dryer and Nespresso coffee machine. At the centre of the house is a large, inviting living room, opening directly out onto the garden and furnished with comfortable sofas and armchairs, with a view out to the hills around Lorgues and the large church in the middle of the town.

The house is on one level, so most rooms open out onto the garden or terraces that surround it. The garden is secure with electronically operated gates and parking for four cars. As you would expect in the South of France there is an outdoor swimming pool, which is completely private with high quality sun-loungers and parasols. In addition there is an outdoor bar for serving drinks close to the pool, comfortable seating areas and a fountain to provide a relaxing setting.

(Please note - there is now a fence around the pool to comply with French law)

Just ten minutes walk away, the town centre has an excellent choice of cafes and restaurants for its size, a full range of shops and hosts one of the area's largest Provencal markets in the shade of its tree-lined main boulevard every Tuesday.

Le Jas Fontaine will provide a wonderfully comfortable and peaceful home for the duration of your stay, where everything you need is close at hand and the beautiful countryside and coast are not far away. Minimum stay 1 week. Start day - Saturday

Please also note - as a holiday destination, visitors to the Var region are required to pay taxe de séjour, which is used to support the tourist industry in the area. For a 5 star classified property in Lorgues, this is currently €1.10 per adult per night and is collected by the villa owners on behalf of the local tourist office.

How do damage deposits work?
