Description

Situated at the end of a long private drive, Trecan is surrounded by beautiful countryside, offering the perfect peaceful retreat in which to relax and recharge. The Linhay has three bedrooms,a well equipped kitchen, large lounge with woodburner (logs provided), central heating and your own private patio area with table and chairs and separate garden across the courtyard. Trecan is only 15 minutes from The Eden project, Looe, Polperro, and Fowey, and 45 minutes from the North coast of Newquay, Padstow, and Rock. So much wonderful scenery to enjoy, walk the Cornish coastal path, swim in the beautiful azure sea, then relax with a cool glass of wine whilst barbqueing in your own private garden. In cooler seasons enjoy your complimentary Cornish cream tea in front of a roaring log fire. We have an all weather tennis court, play area, games room with darts, pool and table tennis - pigs, hens, ducks, goats and sheep complete the picture! The hens and ducks are laying really tasty eggs!

Location description from owner

The England region

Cornwall is the most southerly county in England, and has a much milder climate due to the gulf stream warming the waters around us. It is surrounded by sea and only borders Devon with the crossing of the Tamar bridge one of the highlights!.. Cornwall has the most spectacular scenery, from the wonderful Cornish coast path which runs the whole length of the coastlne, the stunning beaches for surfing, swimming, fishing, etc.,and quaint fishing villages and harbours, to the rugged moors with the remains of the tin mining and china clay industries.
South East Cornwall is the least well known and unexplored area, and has it all! Looe is a beautiful town with a sandy beach, an estuary and harbour with fishing boats bringing in the daily catch to the fish market for sale to the many celebrity chefs' restaurants. June sees the raft race and festival of the sea, July the Looe carnival and the music festival is held every September. Fowey is the home of Daphne Du Maurier and has a literary festival in May and their regatta week with fireworks and the red arrows in August. The much aclaimed Eden project boasts a Rainforest Biome, a Mediteranean Biome and a discovery centre for the hands on experience, an educational and informative day out for all the family. All these are within a 20 minute drive from Trecan.
So much to see and do, you will need at least a week to take in just the flavour of this most beautiful and diverse County!!

Looe

Lanreath is a small village with a local shop run by volunteers, a beautiful chruch dating back to Norman times, a great community spirit which manifests itself with May day dancing round the Maypole, a music evening on the green, and several other events throughout the year. Lerryn is also a small village nestled in the valley with lovely riverside walks, stepping stones, a shop with cream teas served on the green, and a local Cornish pub!
Tradional plays a big part in Cornwall and for years people have been clebrating St Pirans Day (a Cornish Saint), local crafts and language, and of course eating the great Cornish Pasty and Cornish Clotted Cream Teas!
