“lovely surroundings lovely place”

Reviewed 4 Sep 2014

We stayed in gypsys loft for 4 nights and it was lovely! It was clean, well equipped and comfortable. Or hosts were very friendly and knowledgeable. Nothing was to much. The surroundings were absolutely beautiful. It was very peaceful and pretty lots ot squirrels and rabbits to be seen in the evenings!

Thank you for your kind review. It was good to meet you all and we are really glad you enjoyed staying in Gypsy's Loft and also appreciated the lovely countryside. Enjoy the rest of your stay in the UK!

“Modern, well presented apartment, in a delightful tranquil countryside setting”

Reviewed 26 Aug 2013

We stayed in both Gypsy's Stall and Gypsy's loft. Both were of the same high standard throughout. Probably better to opt for the ground floor Gypsy's Stall if some occupants are not likely to be so keen on bunk beds in the second bedroom. We had a lovely stay here. Very well situated for exploring the Forest of Dean, Gloucestershire, Herefordshire and Wales. Nearby there are ample good quality pubs and restaurants. We would certainly stay again if we are in the area and have no hesitation recommending it.

Thank you for taking the time to post a review for us. Much appreciated!

“Just what we wanted”

Reviewed 18 Jun 2013

My partner and I stayed for a long weekend. A lovely, newly renovated property. Very clean and comfortable. Perfect location for us to visit the Cotswolds. Lovely scenery and would recommend visiting the pub at the top of road - The Farmers Boy Inn. We would definitely come back and will recommend to friends and family. Thank you, Lori and Chris

Thanks for taking time to post a review! Pleased you enjoyed your stay.

“A perfect modern loft cottage”

Reviewed 25 Nov 2012

A great modern loft cottage with everything you could want. Great for couples or a family of four. Also dog friendly and a great location for the forest and other lovely market towns for shopping.

We are really pleased you enjoyed your stay and hope you'll return. Thanks for taking the time to put a review on for us.

“Accessible Country Getaway”

Reviewed 13 Aug 2012

I came across Gypsy's Loft purely by accident when looking for a dog friendly accomodation near Ross On Wye/ Forest of Dean Area. We were only looking for a weekend break and being August thought it might be impossible/ reall expensive. I emailed Jill on the off chance to see if there was any availability and was thrilled when she said yes and we booked. Gypsy's Loft was easy to find thanks to Jill's directions. Its set in a lovely area where the only noise really are the sheep in the field. The Loft is well presented, spotlessly clean and comfortable. It has everything you need and they even provided bread, milk, eggs and butter which we werent expecting. Alongside is the paddock where we were able to run our dog offlead which he enjoyed as well as saying hello to the resident Collies through the fence. We would recommend Gypsy's Loft for a weekend break or a longer stay :)

Great we could accommodate you and pleased to have your dog along too!

“A nice, cosy retreat with beautiful Gloucestershire to explore on your doorstep”

Reviewed 29 Jun 2012

A great location both the setting for the loft cottage with rolling hills and in the surrounding area with plenty to explore. A very versatile place suitable for couples and families young and older. Our son was entertained watching the sheep in the field which the balcony window. Also explored the local farms, kids parks and the Forest of Dean steam train. Plenty left over to do for when he is older! Owners were friendly and very helpful, lovely stay

Glad you enjoyed your stay. Thank you very much for taking the trouble to post this review!

“Excellent apartment for short break in the Forest of Dean”

Reviewed 30 Apr 2012

Good base to explore the nearby Forest of Dean and also the Cotswolds. Very comfortable with all amenities - the television in the bedrooms was particularly appreciated by our teenage daughter. Welcome pack much appreciated as we arrived on a wet Friday afternoon. Just one small thing to mention. The central heating was rather too effective and we were all a bit too hot at night but I'm sure that easily be remedied. (We did have a bit of difficulty finding the property as there wasn't the sign mentioned on the road to the property but I believe that is going to be added in the future).

Thanks very much for the feedback. Delighted you enjoyed your stay!
