Gypsy's Stall which has recently been graded 4* by VisitEngland is a 2 bedroomed apartment situated in a quiet rural location along a lane, although only 1 mile away from the nearest main road & 1.5 miles from local facilities. The owners live next door, but Gypsy's Stall is self contained and private. It is furnished to a high standard and has everything you could need for a relaxing and enjoyable stay.

The master bedroom has a patio door leading outside to the private fenced-in pathway and is bright and south-facing. There is plenty of room in this room for a cot if you would like your baby in your room.

The property has a fenced/walled patio area and visitors can also access the adjoining paddock for dog walking (by prior arrangement - see below). May Hill, a National Trust beauty spot is a mile up the lane or along a footpath. There are an abundance of footpaths and walks locally as well as the beautiful Malvern Hills which are only 12 miles away.

The area is ideal for cycling with miles of country lanes to explore - guests are welcome to bring their bicycles along as we have a lockable storage facility for them during your stay.

There is an abundance of wildlife in the area - the cuckoo is a regular visitor and normally arrives in April/May! Badgers can often be seen waddling along the lane and if you're lucky you may catch sight of a Muntjac deer disappearing up the driveway. You will also hear the owners' cockrell crowing and see their tame sheep looking for tid-bits!

The properties are situated right on the border of Gloucestershire and Herefordshire, giving you two beautiful counties to explore.

The Regency spa town of Cheltenham is 18 miles away, home to the famous Cheltenham Hunt Festival, with the city of Gloucester some 11 miles away, famous for it's Cathedral and restored Victorian docks..

The Forest of Dean - recently voted one of the 7 Wonders of Britain - is a stones throw from Gypsy's Stall & Gypsy's Loft, together with Herefordshire and the Wye Valley, with it's Gorges and stunning scenery beginning approximately 7 miles away at the pretty market town of Ross on Wye.

For visitors looking for beautiful scenery, walking or cycling holidays this area is ideal. Review 1-10 of 13

5 Sep 2012

Myself, my husband and two teenage daughters (15 and 16) and two very well behaved dogs enjoyed a wonderful week at the end of August. The weather was better than expected and we enjoyed many walks in The Forest of Dean and enjoyed other countryside nearby. Gypsy's Stall was a relaxing, clean, comfortable, and contained every mod con! The kitchen was fully equiped and a stairgate was supplied by Jill to contain the dogs in the kitchen if they came back wet from one of our many walks. Our dogs had a wonderful holiday and slept quietly (exhausted!) in the kitchen every night. A stretch in the enclosed paddock for them every morning was perfect. We made use of the patio furniture and a glass of wine relaxing at the end of a day was perfect. We will love to stay again. Thank you for your hospitality.

Thanks very much, glad you all enjoyed it and the weather wasn't too bad for you. Thanks for your kind review. Hope to see you again!
