The living area provides further comfort and practicality, with TV, DVD player, Stereo, wifi - plus of course nice comfy sofas. There is also a separate little space for the children to play!

Downstairs are three pleasantly finished bedrooms, each with en-suite and all three feature double doors opening out to the garden or terrace. The master bedroom is a double, with the second and third bedrooms made up as twins - but can easily made up as doubles too.

A small but pleasantly kept garden is fully enclosed to keep the little ones safe. Sun loungers ensure you can enjoy the long summer days and the BBQ helps out with the long summer evenings! All of the facilities and services at Longeveau are only a short stroll down the lane - 5 minutes for grown ups and only a little longer with little ones!

Please note that we have several other equally charming three-bedroomed cottages on site, as well as a choice of smaller or larger properties.

Longeveau itself is a small hamlet in a beautiful valley designated by the Michelin Guide as 'A Place of Special Beauty'. Within the estate we offer a superb range of facilities to make your holiday as relaxed or enjoyable as you wish it to be. We offer the opportunity for families or groups to socialise with others, or simply appreciate the peace and quite of your own company!

Our 9 hole FFG golf course is a challenge to golfers of all abilities. We have three all-weather tennis courts, a sports barn with compact tennis, basketball etc., a table tennis barn and boules pitch. We have five swimming pools (two heated / three private) plus a children's splash pool and plenty of space to relax in or explore. Golf and tennis coaching is available from local English speaking PGA / CCA qualified professionals.

For our smaller guests we have a play area, a toddlers play area, a secret play house and a crèche that runs throughout the summer. Our restaurant serves great food and shares a terrace with the bar, with south facing views across the grounds and the valley.

Location description from owner

The Poitou-Charentes region

The region is known for it's great climate with sun drenched summers, rolling green hills and valleys as far as you can see, plus all the history you could ever need. The food and drink is superb and the people are welcoming. The area is a paradise for wine lovers who may wish to visit the numerous chateaux and wine caves on the Bordeaux wine trail.

Longeveau

Longeveau is located on the Charente / Dordogne border in a beautiful valley in rural South West France. Nearby villages are full of activity, with places to visit, dine and drink. The picturesque old Roman town of Aubeterre, which was recently voted one of the prettiest villages in France, is only a bike ride away. Discover the 12th century subterranean church carved out of the rock or enjoy a drink on the village square with it's variety of shops, eateries and museums, all overlooked by a 1,000 year old chateau. Alternatively walk down to the river beach for a swim, relax or a bite to eat.The market town of Riberac (20 mins) has one of the biggest markets in France! The capital towns of Angouleme and Perigueux (45 mins) offer a wider and more sophisticated range of shops in a typically French setting. Brantome, nicknamed the 'Venice of Perigord' is well worth a visit at a similar distance. Also within easy reach are towns such as St. Emilion, Bergerac, Cognac and Bordeaux, all famous for their wines and spirits and equally beautiful places to visit.Local activities range from walking, sight seeing, tree climbing, canoeing, cycling, fishing, or even jet–skiing and quad biking to name but a few. Wine tasting and degustation are of course a staple part of the French experience! There are a variety of local festivals, fetes and firework displays that take place throughout the summer in the local villages and towns. These are aimed at all ages and generally take place between the months of June and September.Children will find plenty to occupy themselves and their families with activities ranging from crazy golf, horse riding and tree top adventure's to daytrip's to the popular attractions of Aqualand Water Park, La Palmyre Zoo and Futuroscope. Longeveau is fortunate to have a number of very good restaurants in the area, ranging from cafés to fine dining. As with everything, our staff will be happy to recommend or help you with decisions.
