A delightful two storey house located on a quiet cobbled mews in the heart of Kensington.

The space:

Behind the door of this Kensington mews house, you will find city living at its best. Over two levels, the ground floor comprises an open plan living dining space with flat screen TV and DVD player, bluetooth speaker/charger dock, and designer furnishings including two sofas, one of which converts to a double sofa bed. The kitchen is separate and has fully integrated appliances including dishwasher, fridge freezer, and washer/drier. Upstairs you will find two double bedrooms with built in wardrobes and a bathroom. One of the double rooms has a zip link bed which means it can be made up as one large double bed or two single beds - just ask. WiFi, bed linen, towels, hairdryer and toiletries are all complimentary.

The house has been recently refurbished throughout and has a brand new bathroom suite. The house is great for 4 people, but a further 2 people can sleep

The Royal Borough of Kensington is one of the most sought after and prestigious neighbourhoods in the city of London with beautiful green spaces, museums, fashionable shops and world class dining.

The Neighbourhood:

You will be residing in the immediate vicinity of the charming Stratford Village, which has a real sense of community with independent shops and eateries. Within 5 minutes walk is Kensington High Street and from there it's a short walk to Kensington Palace, Hyde Park, the Natural History Museum, the Victoria and Albert Museum and the famous Royal Albert Hall. For the shopaholics, as well as the myriad of shops on Kensington High Street, take a 10 minute taxi /uber ride east to the world famous Harrods in Knightsbridge, or equally close, but to the north, is the picturesque Nottinghill with it's famous Portobello Road Market and Nottinghill Carnival. Prefer shopping indoors? The huge Westfield Shopping Centre with over 200 shops, is within a 15 minute bus or taxi/uber ride away.

A little further afield but within a 15 minute tube journey from Earl's Court, you can be in Covent Garden and the theatre district.

For business travellers, Olympia is close by (15 minute walk or 5 minute taxi). Also, for anyone attending or visiting the BUPA Cromwell Road Hospital, this is only 5 minutes walk from the house.

Getting Around:

Public transport links are excellent with both Earls Court (Piccadilly and District lines) and High Street Kensington (Circle and District lines) Underground Stations less than 10 minutes walk away. The Piccadilly line is particularly convenient and one train will take you to all of the following attractions:

South Kensington (2 stops) - Natural History Museum, V&A Museum, Royal Albert Hall

Knightsbridge (3 stops) - Harrods Department Store

Green Park (5 stops) - Buckingham Palace

Piccadilly Circus (6 stops) - National Gallery

Covent Garden (8 stops) - West End Theatres and Market

You will also find numerous buses 3 minutes walk from the house.

Santander Cycle Stations (bike hire) are available within the immediate locality with the closest one on Lexham Gardens, just around the corner from the house.

If you prefer to walk, you can be at Kensington Palace in 20 minutes and a few minutes further, Hyde Park and the museums in South Kensington such as Victoria and Albert Museum and the Natural History Museum.

For those allergic to public transport, you can hail a London black cab or use Uber

Travelling to/from Heathrow Airport is easy with direct trains to/from Earl's Court in only 35 minutes.

House rules

Absolutely no parties, hens or stags or unauthorised visitors

No noise please after 11pm in consideration of my neighbour (there is only one neighbour next door, but he has a room directly above the living room, so is likely to complain if disturbed).

Accidents happen. If you make a mess or spill something, please clean it up as you would at home.

If you find yourself in the unfortunate position of locking yourself out, there will be a charge for someone to come out and let you back in.
