A really central London apartment, in a quiet 'mews' (pretty cobbled street) which has a real feel of London history. It’s in the “budget category” so it’s a really low price for such a fantastic location.

* Perfect if you're flying in to Heathrow - it's on the direct Tube train line from Heathrow.

* Brilliant if you want to be right in the centre - it is within easy walking distance of London's tourist sites

* Ideal for morning arrivals - bagdrop is from 11am

* Also ideal for late arrivals - after midnight is not a problem

* Convenient if you want grocery stores, cafes and restaurants close by - The Brunswick shopping mall is just around the corner

* Also very easy for arrivals on the Eurostar train to St Pancras and for guests arriving at Gatwick or Luton.

Our apartment is one of the very few "budget category" apartments to be right in the heart of Central London. It is round the corner from the British Museum, and is within walking distance of most of the tourist sites such as Big Ben, Westminster Abbey, the Houses of Parliament, Buckingham Palace, Theatreland, Covent Garden, Trafalgar Square and the London Eye. It's in a great area - there are plenty of cafe's and restaurants just a few minute's walk away, and a choice of three supermarkets around the corner.

There is very reliable and fast internet and of course we offer free wifi !

We don't have aircon but we do provide large freestanding fans in each bedroom.

Flat 7 has a kingsize bed in the main bedroom and a double bed in the other bedroom. Plus, if there are 5 guests, we can provide a single folding bed suitable for a child (under 130lbs) at a cost of £20 per night. Please enquire.

Flat 7 is in the "budget category" because the sitting room is small and because it is in an historic building so the bathroom and kitchen facilities are not new - but are perfectly adequate. So you don't get 'swanky' but you don't get 'costly' either!

The apartment is on the first floor of the building (in the UK that means up one flight of stairs). The interior has lots of character, and has a beautiful original oak floor throughout. Our traditional sash windows (typical of London) let in loads of light and add to the character.

We have chosen lovely beds and high quality mattresses, good linens, soft Egyptian cotton towels and stylish furnishings, so you will have everything you require to get a hotel level of sleeping comfort. Both bedrooms have plenty of wardrobe space, bedside tables and lamps. We also provide a soft bath robe and a choice of pillows.

There is a main living room, containing the sitting area, kitchenette, and dining area. The sitting area may be small but it's cosy with three-seater sofa, coffee table and satellite TV. Please note, if you are a larger group and all want to watch TV together you may need to use the dining chairs as well as the sofa.

The dining table is extendable so it can be used small if there are just two or three guests, or it can be pulled out to seat up to five. There are five dining chairs.

The small kitchenette isn't new but it is very well equipped so that if you want to self-cater you can cook to your heart's content! We have provided plenty of attractive white crockery, serving dishes, nice glassware and loads of pans, cutlery and utensils. There is a microwave, kettle, cafetiere (french press), teapot, toaster, big fridge-freezer and a very new fast-spin washing machine. There is no tumble dryer but we provide airing racks for drying.

The flat is well heated with a very efficient gas central heating system. In summer it has the advantage of windows on either side, which provide a good flow of air. We also provide large room fans.

Flat 7 offers excellent value for money, especially for families and is particularly attractive for two friends who need separate rooms but can't afford the high prices of a more roomy or more classy apartment.

Our location, on an historic London 'mews' street, has loads of history and character. Because this is a narrow cobblestoned street it has no through traffic, so it's astonishingly quiet for a place to stay which is right in the centre.

Bloomsbury is also the perfect central area from which to explore London. Please do Google it. You can easily walk to so many tourist sights, and because the Tube station is so close it's really convenient. Our apartment is particularly close to Covent Garden (for the shops and restaurants) and to Theatre land if you fancy a London show. The British Museum is just a short walk.

Getting around

The apartment is so central will be able to walk to almost all the main tourist sites - Buckingham Palace, Westminster Abbey, Houses of Parliament, London Eye, British Museum, Oxford Street, Piccadilly Circus, and Theatre-land. The Tube Station is just around the corner from the apartment. The hop-on, hop-off tourist buses stop just two blocks away. Nowadays Uber is very popular in London, and you'll find it's easy and very cheap to use Uber to get back to the apartment from other parts of London.

We will usually meet guests and show them how the apartment works, plus give advice about local restaurants, shops and directions. We live close by so we can usually be on hand for any problems.

“Perfect Accommodation in a Great Location”

This two bedroom accommodation was perfect for our short stay in London. It is located right in the heart of London, perfectly located close to all the shops, restaurants, tubes and attractions. Considering it is located in the centre of London, the price for our stay was a bargain considering the cost for most accommodation in the area. The owner (Jan) kept in touch to ensure everything was OK. The accommodation was very clean and provided everything we needed. I have no hesitation in recommending this accommodation and will definitely book to stay here again in the future. Thank you for a lovely stay.

“Fantastic Accommodation”

We were a party of two kids and two adults. The accommodation was perfect. Having the luxury of two bedrooms meant that the kids could go to bed rather than being kept awake in the family room of a hotel. Although the living space was compact, there was more than enough room for the four of us. It was spotlessly clean and had everything one would expect from self catering accommodation. The location was absolutely fab. I would have no hesitation in recommending this accommodation and sincerely hope we are able to return in the not too distant further. Thank you for a lovely stay.
