Location description from owner

The Occitanie region

Situated in the extreme south of France, the region extend along the Mediterranean coast from the north eastern ranges of the Pyrenees and the Spanish border, to Provence, then inland to the Midi-Pyrenees and as far north as the Auvergne. Places of interest in the region include Montpellier, the capital. Sete, the largest Mediterranean fishing port on the coast of France, closer to us the black mountains of Haut Languedoc & the vast National park of the Cevennes, the limestone gorges of the tarn and the mountains & lakes of Lozeres are a striking contrast to the coastal plains. Much of this area is a protected, unspoilt wilderness of great beauty, where rural life and tradition have remained unchanged.

Lodeve

Walking and cycling on door step, horse riding is 500meters away. The Salagou Lake is 3 kilometres away, it is a 1200 acre lake open all year round with sailing, windsurfing,, kayak, canoeing, mountain biking, sailing, fishing & swimming with supervised beaches.

The medieval town of Lodeve is 4 kilometres away with its cathedral, markets, restaurants and shops.

Languedoc emcompasses the largest wine producing area of Europe.
