Well placed to enjoy all the benefits of the South Hams, the historic town of Kingsbridge, its beautiful harbour and interesting mix of gift shops, restaurants and bars is just 5 miles away. As are the beaches of Thurlestone, Bantham and Bigbury. A central spot to explore this area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, Dartmoor National Park just seven miles and doorstep walks, woodland creeks and ancient towns and villages make a stay in this area, a wonderful experience.

The Holiday Cottage

Higher Orchard is a beautiful new conversion completed in Summer 2012 and boasts many green credentials including water and heating provided through ground source heat pump and solar thermal panels. The glamorous interior of Higher Orchard has immense appeal with solid oak flooring and two attractive cream sofas, positioned around a stylish woodburner to warm your toes on cooler evenings. A sleek contemporary kitchen boasting granite work tops and integrated appliances is posited toward the far end of the reverse level, open plan living room. A stylish glass dining table taking centre stage next to a glass balustrade leading down stairs to the ground floor. Two bedrooms both with sleek en-suite shower rooms add a touch of glamour, each dressed in exquisite linens with luxurious mattresses, the master bedroom with 6'' zip and link bed.GeneralHigher Orchard adjoins the owners property, but enjoys a very private position with its own flight of external stone stairs leading to the entrance and a private patio and garden equipped with garden table and chairs. Higher Orchard lies approximately equidistant from the peaceful villages of Loddiswell and Aveton Gifford (1.4 miles), with both having public houses offering dining facilities. Parking for two cars is available. Extra vehicles or boat/ trailer by prior arrangement.
