Description

This fabulous 12th century Swedish designed farm house and fomer hunting lodge is set deep in the heart of the Avon valley and is surrounded by wooded valleys and flowing waters, it is a nature lovers paradise. The property interiors have been designed to offer you and your family bespoke countryside living in a relaxed peaceful and secluded environment. We offer seatrout and salmon fishing on the river Avon. The house lies some 100m from the river which is great for swimming and relaxing in it's cool waters. We have a large selection of cookery books to enjoy and of course we would expect you to try out cooking with the aga !..Bantham beach voted no 6 best beach in Europe only 15 mins drive away.

“An Amazing Place - return visit booked”

I booked the stay for my wifes 40th birthday, firstly as a country get away and secondly because of the size of the property we could bring plenty of family and friends. I was looking forward to the break so much just from the photos from the website, but had no idea how big the place was, and in actual fact no amount of photos can ever do it enough justice. It is amazing. If I won the lottery I would be knocking on the owners door asking to buy it. It is so peaceful being at the end of the lane, with no-one else driving past. it was heaven for our dogs, who would just wander about to their hearts content each morning. Chris the groundsman was so nice, and full of any advice or answers to questions. We didn't get bored of walking around the grounds, or lazing in front of the fire. Although I didn't use it myself, the Victorian shower got rave reviews from everyone who did. I would absolutely recommend this country retreat to anyone, and we have booked to go back again for longer later this year.

We were able to have our whole family together, ranging in ages from 3 months to 78 years old, plus 1 dog & there was something for all of us. Amazingly comfortable accomodation, glorious scenery & loads of activities/days out. Both the owner, Charles, & his groundsman, Chris, were extremely friendly & helpful. None of us wanted to leave & those of us that can, will certainly be back again. A huge thanks.

We had a great time and were happy to let the kids go off by themselves to explore and cycle in safe, interesting surroundings. I even managed to catch a small Salmon (which I returned) and a Sea Trout which I ate. We visited different beaches at Torcross, Blackpool, Bantham, and another near Modbury all within an easy drive. The house has a great log fire(and plenty of logs) which makes everything very snug when the tempreature dips a bit, and is a great place to relax with friends and family. Very nice all round

We enjoyed a fabulous holiday at Yeo Farm. Despite booking stupidly late, our request was handled peerlessly and in the most accommodating and friendly manner. The property exceeded our expectations: wonderful space to roam, spread out, entertain and play; totally comfortable, clean and tidy and furnished in an exceedingly homely manner; lovely light kitchen in which to cook; comfy beds; 1000 things to do for us and the kids; an exceptional Victorian power shower; 100 acres of woodland and grassland to explore; a river in which to fish and bathe; brilliant restaurant a short drive away (California Cross Country Inn); especially welcoming and attentive housekeeper ... in general, we couldn't have enjoyed a nicer time. Very good, friendly communication. Trusting too, which is refreshing in this day and age. We had a lovely reception from the site manager, who helped spring a surprise on my wife (50th birthday). Everyone was very welcoming and friendly and the location is to die for! Would definitely think about going again.

How do damage deposits work?
