Access to upper converted attic space also housing a double sofa bed and window. Kitchen and breakfast bar with seating for two people, all electric appliances, shower room and WC, Double bedroom.

Guest Access - The cottage has its own private front access and parking spaces.

Interaction with Guests - We are in the adjoining cottage next door and therefore if you need any advice or information this is easily accessed.

The Neighbourhood - The cottage is in the countryside about 0.5miles from main trunk road. Ayrshire coast is about 20mins drive. It is therefore within easy access for day trips to the Islands of Arran, Rothesay,Millport, Islay and more. For day trips to loch lomand and beyond it is aprox 45mins drive.

With the 2014 Commonwealth Games being held in Glasgow, you have probably seen what a lovely city Glasgow is with much to see and do. There are signs all round the centre saying "people make Glasgow" I am sure you will find out how true this is.

Getting around - It is rural so you would benefit from a car. Train station (aprox 1.5miles away Dalry or Glengarnock) it is a fabulous service, peak hours every 15mins or so. Many local country walks and a cycle path almost on your door step. There are plenty shops in nearby villages of Beith, Dalry & Kilbirnie.

Other Things to Note - An outbuilding housing a gym is available and also a Hot Tub however it is at your own risk and we accept no liability for any damage or accident whilst using any of these facilities. These facilities are for the private use of guests during their stay. Free WiFi is also available, though being rural, the signal can be temperamental. There are many country walks right on your door step and the surrounding countryside is breathtaking.

Lochwinnoch is only 5 mins drive from cottage were there are several country walks, water-sports and the RSPB also have a reserve here.

Golf - There are many local golf courses including Beith, Kilbirnie and West Kilbride. The famous Troon course is around 30 mins drive away. Fishing lochs and rivers are plentiful in the area.

Station aprox 1.5miles away ( Dalry or Glengarnock)

Unlike many cottage rentals, we DO NOT have additional charges for cleaning, this service is FREE as we expect guests to be respectful during their stay.

If you are booking for a special occasion and wish me to have champagne, chocs etc within for your arrival, please advise and this will be arranged at cost price.

In order to keep rental costs to a minimum and have greater consideration to the environment, a small fee for electric power is charged at 0.10p per unit used (April/sept average usage has been around £0.60p per day)

Sleeps 2 persons, however can sleep 4 if using the sofa bed

For X/mas and NY bookings pls contact re pricing as this period is charged at weekend rates(£95) with minimum 3 nights booking. However if you book a 7 day booking it is still only £385 for the week.

Wifi is free though we do live rural and signal can sometimes be irregular.

The cottage is not designed with young children in mind and I would advise messaging before booking if you are travelling with a young family. Thanks

“Lovely break”

My partner and I came here for 1 week to relax and see some of the area, we were not disappointed. We came to a very warm welcome, Robert was very helpful and knowledgeable about the area and recommended some great things to do! The cottage is in a great location with several towns nearby for day trips and lovely walks with beautiful scenery! The hot tub was also a lovely addition :) Would stay here again! Thanks again we had a lovely week!

It means so much to us when guests take time from their busy lives to complete these reviews and offer the kind comments as you have done here. It is even more fulfilling when guests return time and time again. It was a great pleasure hosting for you guys and we look forward to your return visit. Many thanks and best wishes to you both. xx

“Great little Cottage”

Reviewed 11 Sep 2015

We had a wonderful stay in the cottage, it was very well kept and we was made very welcome. We were given tons of information about places to go and how to get to these places which came in handy. The location was great as the cottage was tucked away, yet close to a small town with a few shops. There is lots to do round the area, we could have easily spend longer than a weekend in this wonderful place. The hot tub was a great added bonus! Thank you for a wonderful min-break! :)

Many thanks for your kind words and taking the time to complete the trip advisor review. It was our pleasure to host and of course you are welcome back anytime. All the very best x

“Book it now! Beautiful place to stay and amazing hosts.”

Reviewed 10 Aug 2015

Our hosts made this an amazing stay for sister, mother and I. My mum has health issues, she is in a wheelchair most of the time and on oxygen 24/7 so we thought it would be really hard to accommodate her but thanks to Robert we knew exactly how accessible it would be and he also received our oxygen delivery. The hot tub is amazing, the scenery is beautiful and the cottage was so clean and well presented. Couldn't fault the place and we will definitely be back. The weather wasn't great that weekend but we did go to Largs for the day which was about 20min drive, there are a few other similar places nearby such as Ayr and Saltcoats. Overall it was a brilliant experience and the owners were amazing.

It was such a pleasure to host for you guys and I am so glad your mother enjoyed herself including the hot tub. Hope to see you all return sometime in the future, you are most welcome xx

“Peace, quiet, and so friendly”

Reviewed 11 Aug 2014

Thanks to Robert and David (and Jasper), for a lovely week. So helpful and friendly and nothing was too much trouble to ensure we had what we needed to enjoy our stay. The cottage is set in a quiet peaceful location but within a few minutes car journey you can be in the centre of Glasgow. The biggest compliment we can pay is that we hope to visit again. Thanks again

This family spent a week at the cottage and managed to take in many of the sites in and around Glasgow, Ayrshire and Argle & Clyde. We would welcome you back anytime, many thanks.
