The self-catering chalet No.1 has been decorated to a high standard, lending a cosy and comfortable atmosphere and surroundings for a unique holiday experience on the North-West coast of Scotland. Kirkaig Chalet No.1 is the perfect place to unwind from the stresses of everyday life and is situated in the small settlement of Inverkirkaig. The Chalet has uninterrupted views of the tranquil bay of Loch Kirkaig.Three miles from Lochinver and 35 miles north of Ullapool. The chalet No.1 is an ideal base for a range of activities including hill walking, loch, river and sea fishing, wildlife and bird watching. The area is one of outstanding beauty with spectacular scenery, beautiful unpolluted beaches, mountains, rivers and lochs. It is an ideal base for a family or couples wanting to enjoy the 'Highlands' experience. So, whether you have just climbed Suliven or been bird watching on Handa Island or just fancy a break to to relax and escape from it all, Kirkaig chalets is the place for you!

Departure by 10.00 hours and arrival after 16.00 hours. Smoking is not permitted. Well behaved pets are welcome by prior arrangement & we ask if you don't allow your pets on the sofas. The number of persons accommodated overnight cannot exceed 4. From April - September our chalets are usually let out from Saturday to Saturday, we will take short stay bookings, but only last minute i.e a few weeks before.

The accommodation consists of a kitchen/living area, 2 bedrooms: one double and one twin and a bathroom with a bath and shower.

The kitchen is bright and airy and fully-fitted with a cooker, large fridge-freezer, microwave, washing machine/dryer, kettle and toaster. Cutlery, crockery, glasses, pots/pans and cleaning products are provided.

The living area is cosy with a spectacular unrestricted view of the sea and is comfortably furnished. It has 2 sofas, a dining table, TV with Freeview and DVD player and a CD player. There is also a book case with a good selection of books & some DVD's.

The bedrooms are furnished with fitted wardrobes, bedside tables, dressing tables, mirrors, lamps and hair-dryers.

The bathroom has a bath, shower, wash-hand basin and shaver point.

All necessary bed linen, towels, cleaning materials, kitchen and toilet rolls are provided. The hallway and bathroom are both tiled, the kitchen has a wooden floor and the living area and bedrooms are carpeted.

The Kirkaig Chalet has fenced off and can be entered via a gate. The chalet has a picnic bench and also 4 garden chairs for dining out of doors for your convenience. There is also a grassed area which is fenced off around the chalet and a rotary clothes drier at the back.

“Excellent chalet in one of the most beautiful locations in the NW Highlands”

The chalet is very comfortable, with spectacular views. Watching the sunset from the balcony with a glass of wine in hand is a pure delight. Great location for spectacular sandy beaches and very safe environment for young children. Lovely to wake up and find deer in the surrounding fields. We've been to the chalet 3 times and have loved every minute.
