Location description from owner

The Scotland region

In the rugged and beautiful west of Scotland, Lochgoilhead is in the Argyll forest and close to Loch Lomond.

You can visit castles and ruins which have witnessed some of Scotland's brutal history. But most visitors come for the scenery, walking and outdoor activities.

Lochgoilhead

Lochgoilhead offers 2 pubs and a good restaurant. There are leisure facilities at a nearby holiday park which are open to non-residents. This includes a 25 metre pool and golf. In this surprising hidden village, you can watch seals, ducks and swans sharing the water, while behind in the garden there may be red squirrels, deer and grouse. Endless forest tracks and mountain trails in all directions allow you to explore the stunning landscape.

“Family wellie boot holiday”

Reviewed 19 Oct 2016

We all enjoyed our stay in this lovely house. Lots of room for our family of 10. We loved the big kitchen and our meals around the large dining table. We kept the fire going to top up the central heating and it worked well. We enjoyed walking around the forest walks and visiting Drimsynie and The Goil. All in all a great family holiday.

Owner's reply: Thanks for staying and thanks for the review. We hope you'll be back before too long!
