Very Good

“Great Location”

Reviewed 29 Nov 2017

Great place to get away from it all. Lovely little cottage overlooking the Loch and mountains beyond. Good walks close by as were drives to nearby small towns and islands. Remote, tranquil setting away from the normal hustle and bustle from life in the U.K. Hope to visit again.

“Amazing cottage”

Me and my partner stayed here for 3 nights, can just say it was amazing and deserves 5 stars!! Perfect location and great for walks or going to surrounding areas. Would definitely recommend it to anyone and we are hoping to again next year. The cottage was extremely clean and cozy.

ivy cottage is a wonderful place to have a break , I brought my wife here for our 30th anniversary & her birthday as a wee surprise , we are both delighted with the cottage it has everything you need for self catering & more ,the owners have thought about the guests renting the cottage & everything you need is here , its not only in an ideal spot of lochgoilhead ,it's superbley situated and all your need are catered for down to the wifi for emailing & facebook ect , the cottage itself is lovely & clean , there's not a thing a can complain or be disappointed about , the view's are brilliant , the cottage is excellent & the service for booking the ivy cottage was superb , I would advise anyone looking to rent a cottage in this area to go for the ivy cottage , great service all round from booking to seeing my wife's face light up when we arrived at the cottage , I will be coming back in the near future , all round excellent , comfy , tidy , clean , I cant praise the place enough aswell as leonard who arranged our booking , thanks to him we had a great long weekend , for a special occasion . 5 stars all round :)

“What a fantastic place”

We are all so pleased with the cottage, it's clean and tidy and has everything you need for your stay. We had an issue with the WiFi but with very friendly neighbours they allowed us to log into theirs. The views from the cottage will stay with me forever and as we all went up by motorbike the roads are just what we went for. You need to plan your food before you go, there's a Cost-cutter in the caravan park if you like packet food but nothing else for miles. The same needs to be said for petrol, your'e about 15 miles from a fuel stop and there not 24 hour. Don't think it's a problem, you just need to plan your stay/trip so that you don't go hungry or run out of fuel. If you like walking, fishing, motorbiking, wildlife, or just sitting relaxing then you can't go wrong here.

“Fantastic views, beautifully furnished and excellently equipped.”

Reviewed 17 Jun 2013

Ivybank Cottage is a fantastic cottage set in some of the most spectacular scenery in the UK. Views are great, activities for children are endless -canoeing on the Loch is a super days entertainment, walking available straight from the door and ideally located to explore other parts of Scotland on a day trip (we managed ferry crossing to Mull & full island tour, also Harry Potter Steam Train from Fort William to Mallaig). The cottage itself is extremely well equipped , very cosy and ideal for either families or couples .

“Wonderful cottage!!”

Ivybank is a beautiful cottage in a beautiful location. The views from the garden are wonderul and the furnishings in the cottage itself are perfect. Tastefully decorated with everything you need, its perfect for a short or longer stay. We would definitely return and if you chose this cottage you wont regret it!
