Also a downstairs WC and a utility room with washing machine and tumble dryer and plenty of space for wellington boots and hanging coats. In the winter, the wood burner and underfloor heating keep the cottage lovely and warm; in the summer, French doors open out onto a sheltered sun-trap of a garden with a terraced patio, flower pots, BBQ area, garden furniture and that wonderful hard to beat vista across rolling green fields sloping down towards Loch Melfort and beyond.

UPSTAIRS is small but very cosy. Large king size bed with beautiful bedding and a sumptuous mattress, hand crafted by Hypnos "the most comfortable beds in the world". A bookshelf full of holiday reads and inspiration for great days out and stunning views of the loch from the window...all you need is to persuade the other half to bring you breakfast in bed! Across the landing is the LUXURY BATHROOM with deep cast iron ROLL TOP BATH, walk in shower, underfloor heating, basin and loo with a view! Fluffy bath robes, towels and Scottish toiletries all provided.

LOCATION: Whilst Crosple Cottage lies within easy reach of the village of Kilmelford (2 miles) the final 400m is via a farm track which passes through open countryside. It is situated 200m further up the hill from Fearnach Bay House, our other 5 star holiday letting house. There will be times when gates need to be opened and closed when there is farm stock in the area so please be aware that whilst not remote, the cottage is isolated and as such is perfect for those who wish solitude.

“Perfect escape”

Reviewed 1 Apr 2016

Wonderful cottage including everything you could want. A piece of laid back luxury. Great place to get away from it all with beautiful uninterrupted views, but not too remote. A lovely and helpful host to make sure all runs smoothly.

“Perfect cottage, location and welcome”

Perfect balance of a get away from it all cottage and location with welcoming hosts who ensure you have everything you need for a wonderful break and a little bit more!

“Great!”

Reviewed 7 Sep 2014

My husband & I stayed for just 3 nights at the end of August this year and thoroughly enjoyed our time at Crosple Cottage. The location is fantastic, quiet and not overlooked by anyone, in fact no other properties are in sight from inside the house at all, however it had just brilliant views over the surrounding countryside. The cottage itself has been very well furnished and we were also impressed with what was provided - bikes, fishing rods etc. The wifi and entertainment systems worked very well, and the kitchen was kitted out well too. Booking was easy and contact from the hosts prompt and very helpful. Information provided at the cottage on the local area was very good, and suggested some good fishing spots too. We don't usually stay at the same place twice for our holidays, but we would definitely consider returning to Crosple Cottage.
