The cabin is located in a secluded forest clearing by a babbling burn, approximately 150 yards from Loch Awe. It sits in extensive grounds and provides the perfect location to be at one with nature in a truly stunning setting.

Cabin has French windows opening onto a raised veranda, with garden furniture. It has many charming features to give visitors a real log cabin experience, with accommodation consisting of an open plan lounge, with dining and kitchen area, two bedrooms and shower room.

The cabin is situated in a very peaceful location in an area of outstanding natural beauty by stunning Loch Awe. The area has a multitude of great walks and trails amid outstanding scenery and there is an abundance of wildlife and local attractions.

Camp fire / BBQ area over looking burn.

Whether you require a base from which to explore Argyll and the West Coast of Scotland, simply enjoy the local area or just relax and be at one with nature this cabin provide the perfect location.

I'm afraid this review is inaccurate and we suggest that guests read our other reviews to get a true feel for the cabin. Our Booking.com listing is not misleading at all. There is a section about the site as a whole, which does show numerous photos of the site and ALL of our cabins. There is then however a section which describes each cabin in detail, including photos & floor plan of the selected cabin only. To book a cabin guests have to enter this section, so guest claiming that they only viewed Strae Cabin details after booking is totally incorrect. I was certainly not abrupt, just a little confused as the guest kept saying it's not what they expected but could not explain why. To which I responded that it is EXACTLY as described on our listing and that unfortunately I couldn't relocate them, as all other cabins were booked. The light not working in bathroom and a minor cleaning issue (no mention of wet dogs) was brought to my attention & I did arrange for somebody to visit the cabin immediately. When I called guest back to confirm this I spoke to Connor who said that the bathroom light was now working fine and there was no issue with cleaning, so don't bother to send anybody down. I therefore cancelled our cleaning going down and heard no more from the guest; until now (4 weeks later) that is.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

If the property manager agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
