“Lovely property but room for improvement”
The house is fantastic and in a lovely location, the little town of Llubi provided a real sense of Mallorca. Just what we wanted. The gardens and pool were also excellent but it was the detail that let the property down. On arrival we were surprised that there was no 'welcome pack'. We have stayed in numerous properties and this is the first occasion where we have not had basic food such as milk, bread, water, butter, eggs, etc. (Even a bottle of wine has become the norm). We had a bottle of sparkling water and tonic water. Thankfully we arrived at a time that allowed us to go out and get supplies although we had to travel out to the nearest large town to do this. Not what you want at the end of your journey. The television in the main lounge did not work during our visit. There were many attempts by visiting maintanence staff to remedy this, including changing remote control batteries several times. With three children in a party of 10 the television would have been useful. The facilities in the kitchen were fine but why were there fifty dinner plates but only six cereal bowls. This did not cater for all ten of us and breakfasts were interesting! The air conditioning did not initially work and had to be fixed. Even though we only used it in certain rooms (children's) we had to pay a full daily rate. Again, we have never encountered an air conditioning charge and felt this was inappropriate. Two of the en-suite showers leaked and had an infestation of ants in a third. The awning on the patio was broken and although again the maintenance staff tried to fix, it never really worked properly. Although we had booked for 14 nights we were not offered a change of bed linen/towels. We had to ask for this service and when we got it we were left with a single sheet on a double bed. This was reported with a promise to sort but never was. The pump on the pool did not seem fit for service and the pool was cleaned only once during the fortnight. This was also the first place where we have stayed that did not include some type of information pack about the property, appliances etc. We were left to our own devices. As we have said, this is a great property in a wonderful location and our party had a wonderful time. However, it needs to be managed by a company that puts some thought into customer satisfaction.
