GardenThe garden has a brick built barbecue which you are welcome to use , and also a round table and seating for 8. There are extra chairs available , and if you fancy a picnic, there's a picnic rug and also blankets in the front porch for you to use. There is a small herb garden just outside the front of the farm house, do please feel free to help yourself. If you are there at the right time of year, there is also a large apple tree and lots of wild blackberry bushes in the garden and if you go for a walk then the farm has plenty of sloe bushes, the odd hazel tree and random apple trees – again, do please feel free to help yourself.Carregywen is located on a quiet working farm, so you may see the occasional Landrover and horsebox driving through the farmyard, if you are lucky, you may get to see the farmers using the big green barn – they are really friendly and don't mind curious children (or adults!) if you want to investigate. If you are at the farm any time from mid February you will see hundreds and hundreds of beautiful spring lambs!Wood burner, Heating and Hot WaterThe farmhouse has a wood burner in the sitting room, all the wood for the burner is provided free of charge. The trouble with the log burner is that you can't just turn it off! We always ensure the house is toasty warm on your arrival, so don't worry you won't be cold. Just in case you had any concerns though - we've added a hot water bottle to every bedroom to make sure you are ultra cosy at night!Kitchen EquipmentThe kitchen is well equipped and comes with a good variety of saucepans, frying pans, dishes, baking equipment, two fridges, a freezer, dishwasher (tablets are provided), a microwave and blender, tea pot, lots of tea towels, cling film, foil, plastic food bags and so on! “Lovely, roomy farmhouse with great views”

Reviewed 30 Mar 2016

Rented the farmhouse for 4 nights with a group of friends - 7 adults and 2 children. It was large, clean, well equipped and comfortable. The bedrooms were spacious with big beds. The Wi Fi was good. Stephanie was a pleasure to deal with and was prompt in answering all our queries. When i told her we would be arriving late in the night she kindly sent through photos of the roads and approach by the night - so we could locate the property very easily. The views from the farmhouse were amazing. And the children enjoyed looking at the sheep grazing in the farms. The wood burner was good and warmed the house. Would recommend the property

Thank you for your review - It's always good to know guests enjoy the house and the views over the Epynt mountain range. Glad you found the photo's helpful. Hope to see you again in the not too distant future!

“Great Farmhouse, Roomy Clean Warm Friendly and amazing views”

Reviewed 18 May 2015

Great space and room. Wifi provided Well appointed kitchen. Nice and warm log burner and electrical rads meant rooms weren't cold. Really well provided for, eg umbrellas chairs, kitchen stuff fridges. Comfy beds and big beds. Good sized rooms too. Great price. Great that even in busier season we could book for the weekend only. Owner's communication before the stay etc was really good and reassuring. The snug is a cute room, we didn't use it much but would have done had we been staying longer. House is well finished and felt clean. Beautiful location and really close to show grounds. Stack of wood was amazing, we loved building the log burner etc! Would dfeintely recommend and would definitely stay again if in the general vicinity etc!

“Ideal weekend break”

Reviewed 11 Aug 2014

I had a fantastic weekend break with my friends. The owners kept in contact with us, and were constantly helpful. The house itself is appointed with everything you could need, it's got a great kitchen, wonderful comfortable beds and every care has been taken to make sure we had everything we needed. The location is beautiful and tranquil. It's just you and the sheep out there, and that's wonderful. I really couldn't fault our experience. We all agreed that we would love to return in the future.

“Lovely cottage, secluded location”

Reviewed 8 Nov 2013

Spent a great weekend here, Gary was very helpful prior to, and after the holiday. Lovely cottage, good facilities, great log fire - it definitely needs it in winter. Thanks
