“A fabulous barn in beautiful surroundings”

Reviewed 15 Sep 2014

Our group of 4 adults and 5 teenagers adored our time in this wonderful barn. The owners have obviously taken time and effort to make this such a warm and welcoming place to stay. Kelly was incredibly friendly and helpful with all our questions and the fantastic welcome basket on arrival was the perfect start to our holiday. It is huge, spotlessly clean, well equipped and beautifully furnished to a very high standard, with comfy sofas and huge TV's in all the living areas and xbox360,wii and playstation and board games provided for those rainy days. Our teens took over the games room upstairs and the pool table on arrival! It's so light and airy and the views are stunning. Even on a grey day the barn remained cosy and bright. We made use of the kayaks available and used the gas BBQ a few times and it was so easy to cook for our large group in the kitchen and great to have enough room to all sit together for a meal. If you have a dog, he will adore it, plenty of lovely walks from the property and a warm utility area to crash out in. Bala lake is great for watersports. We also took the stunning drive to Mt Snowden, which half of our group climbed while the other half went to the Padarn Country park which has lots to do. We also did white water rafting at the National white water centre in Frongoch, which is not far from Bala, which was great fun. We loved our week in North Wales and only did a fraction of the things we wanted to do. Even the few days of rain that we had didn't spoil our enjoyment and we didn't want to come home. We would definitely come again and hope that we are lucky enough to stay here again.

“Very well presented and equipped”

Reviewed 30 Jul 2014

I stayed here for my 40th Birthday. The house is stunning and very well equipped for adults and children. There are 4 good sized bedrooms, a big open plan kitchen/diner/lounge, a games room and a further big living room which has two sofa beds. Very tastefully furnished I was very pleased I had chose this property, and its better than the pictures. Locally there are a number of pubs as well as Bala Lake. We had a lovely meal at Tyd LLann which is a michellin star restaurant about 12 miles away. Actually it was an outstanding meal. We drove to LLandudno to take in the breathtaking scenery (about 40min drive) and we went to Snowdonia to do the worlds fastest zipwire at Zip world, then on the way back we went to the other zipworld to do Bounce Below (trampolines in a cave under a mountain). then for two nights we had a lovely BBQ at the property as well as cooking other items we had brought. I would highly recommend this property. just bring yourselves, your clothes and your toiletries. Absolutely everything else is provided.

“Great property and facilities available”

Reviewed 2 Jul 2014

Booked this property after reading the reviews and I must say, I was not disappointed. The property is very spacious with entertainment in all rooms. The drive has ample car parking, the garden and outside table is a lovely place to sit throughout the day and evening. BBQ facility is available as well as bikes and kayak's in the shed. This property is everything you need for a relaxing time away. The location is only 10minutes from Bala Lake where you can do plenty of outdoor activities. I will most defiantly looking at staying here again

“Absolutely Wonderful”

Reviewed 27 May 2014

A group of friends and I needed to find somewhere to stay at reasonably short notice and we were so incredibly lucky to find this place. Kelly was so helpful from the first moment I contacted her and the cottage itself was like something out of a dream. The place is enormous - so spacious and bright and exceptionally clean. It felt like they had thought of everything. The welcome basket on arrival was also a lovely touch and everybody who stayed was totally bowled over by the quality of the place. We will definitely consider staying again. Thank you so much!
