Bwthyn Bach is a lovely bolt-hole to stay in the small historical town of LLantrisant. It has recently been fully renovated to a high standard with wooden floors throughout, central heating and a modern comfortable interior. A great location to explore all that the area has to offer, with the old town of Cowbridge in the Vale of Glamorgan just 20 mins away, The Rhonda Valleys 10 mins away, The Brecon Beacons 1 hour away and within reach of Heritage Coastline of South Wales. Barry Island of 'Gavin and Stacey' fame is half and hour car drive.

About the owner
My parents and grandparents were born and bred in this historical town of Llantrisant and we live locally with our two sons. Having grown up in the area we are familiar with all it has to offer and the surrounding areas.
Year purchased: 2003
Why the owner chose a cottage in this location
We bought Bwthyn Bach which means 'Little Cottage' 10 years ago for its location in this small town of Llantrisant. Its situation near to local shops, pubs and walks is perfect for a relaxing holiday and easy access to all the beautiful surrounding areas in South Wales.
Unique benefits of the property
Bwthyn Bach benefits from being in the centre of Llantrisant with parking outside the property or a car park just 100 mts away. We welcome well behaved small dogs.
The change over day is flexible. Arrival time from 2pm - departure time 10am
The cottage gas and electric supply is on token meters, and meter readings will be taken on arrival and departure. The gas and electric will be charged accordingly.

South Wales is a perfect location for any family holiday, short break or weekend getaway
In South Wales you're never far from a mountain or the sea - so it's no wonder walkers, cyclists, surfers and sailors love to come and visit. There is a real buzz about Cardiff our capital city and the nearby Glamorgan Heritage Coast. Swansea & the Gower, Carmarthenshire, Pembrokeshire and Cardigan Bay all have wonderful clean beaches and some surprising marine life.
Less than an hours drive from the cottage is the beautiful Brecon Becons where visitors go to enjoy the stunning scenery. It's both beautiful and diverse, with rolling countryside and valleys, wide open hillsides and wildly beautiful forests, lakes, waterfalls and caves.
Llantrisant is known for its pub culture with a number of venues including The Bear Inn, The New Inn, the Wheatsheaf and the Cross Keys Hotel (all family friendly). Formerly in the Bull Ring was the Rock and Fountain pub, which became the home of the original Llantrisant Workingmen's Club founded in May 1953 by Seth Morgan, Freeman of Llantrisant.
The focal point of the town is the Bull Ring, a commercial square in the centre of the town that was used for bull-baiting, until it was disallowed in 1827 due to unruly crowds. The square contains a statue of Dr William Price a pioneer of cremation.
Just across the road from Bwthyn Bach is The Butchers Arms Gallery & Coffee Shop which upstairs sells freshly made sandwiches, gorgeous home made cakes, high teas and hot and cold drinks.
The atmosphere is warm, friendly and very special.
A number of other small independent shops are located in Llantrisant that are all within walking distance from the cottage. These include:
The Model House
The Patchwork House
1KM away is the Talbot Green shopping park with a range of shops and food outlets including Marks & Spencers, Boots, Tescos, Starbucks, Pizza Hut, Harvester, Frankie & Benny's & Chiquitos Mexican. There our also a number of resteraunts within the area of Llantrisant/Talbot Green such as the highly rated and widely regarded La Luna Brassarie & Lounge Bar and Trattoria Italian.
If you would like any other information about the location please do not hesitate to ask.
