Number 16 Glan Y Mor is a spacious semi detached holiday home situated on a quiet road opposite a small stream, just 2 minutes walk from the beach in the picturesque village of Llansteffan. Completely renovated and refurbished in 2017 and new to the holiday rental market in May 2017, it is cosy & bright, with contemporary furnishings, fittings and modern conveniences. It benefits from open aspects to both front and back. This is a comfortable tranquil haven where you can unwind and relax, enjoy a beach holiday, or use as a base to explore stunning West Wales.

ACCOMMODATION.

INSIDE.

Downstairs. The front door leads into a light and airy hall, then a spacious lounge with a 3 seater leather sofa, 2 easy chairs, and a swivelling reclining armchair, along with a woodburning stove, a Smart TV with Freeview and built in Wi-Fi, and a Blu – ray / DVD disc player and twin tuner HDD Recorder. The dining room has a refectory style oak table and benches, easy chairs, & a bookcase containing an assortment of books, DVD's, children's toys, & information to make your stay even more enjoyable. There is also a phone point & WiFi router, free WiFi is included as part of your stay. The dining room leads into a brand new fitted kitchen, which is fully equipped & contains quality appliances including an electric oven & hob, microwave, fridge freezer, dishwasher, washing machine, kettle, toaster & smoothie maker. A door from the kitchen leads to the side of the house and both the front and back gardens. The hall under stair storage area houses a tumble dryer, ironing board & iron, vacuum cleaner, high chair, stair gate, laundry basket and pegs, and coat hooks.

Upstairs. The hall contains a large airing cupboard & immersion heater, with a window looking out onto the back garden from which you may be lucky enough to see starling murmurations at dusk. 3 double bedrooms all with brand new furniture comfortably sleep 6 people. The main bedroom has a double bed and space for the cot, along with another Smart TV with Freeview and built in Wi-Fi, the 2nd bedroom has 2 single beds which can be separated or put together to serve as a double, and the 3rd bedroom has 2 separate single beds. There is also a newly fitted bathroom with a full size bath and over bath shower.

OUTSIDE. On the quiet road at the front there is ample parking space for 2 cars. There is also a front garden edged by a low fence and walls, and secured with a gate. The garden path leads to the front door and to the side of the house.

At the side is an entrance door to the kitchen, a path leading to the sunny private back garden, and an outside tap ideal for washing off sandy boots before entering the house.

A garden shed contains a bistro set of table and chairs, 4 portable folding chairs, and beach mats, dog bed, lawn mower, and a fireguard and wood for the wood burner.

Venture to the ancient market town of Carmarthen just 20 minutes drive away to shop for local produce, or dine out in the local award winning pubs, village store & deli, or the weekend restaurant. If you prefer to eat at the beach there are takeaways serving hot food & ice creams, and a beachfront café. Carmarthen is also great for sightseeing and shopping, and if the weather turns inclement there is a cinema, leisure centre, bowling alley, laser station, and go sport centre to keep the children amused as well.

I can be contacted both before and during your visit via email and/or mobile, and a friend who lives nearby has a spare key, and can be contacted in case of practicalities or emergencies during your stay. A welcome pack will be provided upon your arrival. I live in Bristol but consider Llansteffan to be my second home. My mother and her family have lived in Llansteffan for many generations, and I am happy to share any information you would like to discover about Llansteffan and the local area, both historical and current.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

How do I edit my booking?

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Helen (the owner) a message.

If Helen (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
