Description

The Chapel with its panoramic views of Carmarthen Bay specialises in weekend, and longer holidays for groups of up to 18 plus cots. If you have something to celebrate you should be here!

The Chapel formerly intended as three separate apaprtments is now let as one very large house, and is located midway between the Gower Peninsula, and Tenby overlooking Carmarthen Bay on the edge of the idyllic village of Llansaint with its traditional welsh pub where you can be assured of a warm welcome, and good food.

We are mid way between the historic town of Kidwelly with its magnificent Norman Castel at 1½ miles, and Ferryside with its large golden sand beach, and railway station at 2½ miles. The nearest access to Carmarthen Bay beach is 1.5 miles, and is a beautiful walk. Our local Blue Flag beach which is 8 miles of golden sand is at Pembrey Country Park 5 miles.

The panoramic views of Carmarthen Bay from the elevated hillside position of Llansaint village are simply breath taking.

We are located just 14 miles off junction 48 of the M4, ideal for weekend getaways. About 1¼ hours from Bristol M4/M5

The 17th Century stone chapel with its oak beams, and fabulous 7 feet circular stained glass window project a kaleidoscope of colures into the chapel. The chapel is deceptively large easily accommodating 18 guests to congregate or be seated in any of the three apartments. The Jolly Roger apartment on the first floor has the extra large dinning table which seats 18, and with three fully fitted kitchens to spread the load, catering for 18 is easy, and three washing machines.

Everybody sleeps on a quality full size bed with deep fill Silent Night mattress. No Bunks, No sofa beds, and No small beds at the chapel, guaranteed.

The garden is accessed by way of the ground floor Admirals Rest apartment which is ideal for the less agile of your group. Large gas barbeque not shown in photo's.

The chapel is one building with three independent apartments accessed from one entrance into the building, and then independently off a flight of carpeted stairs. No steps to gain access to the ground floor Admirals Rest apartment.

We have our comprehensive visitor information area on the second floor together with our DVD library. All three floors have emergency free to use telephones.

COMMENTS BY PREVIOUSE GUESTS:

Some of us were vegitarians, so we had our own kitchen.

All 18 of us could eat together with ease.

In the evening retiring to our own apartment earlier or later was a big advantage.

Having an apartment for the babies to sleep in peace was great.

Locking our own apartment was reassuring.

Having our own bathroom was ideal.

Although our group mainly ate together, it was lovely to sit in our own apartment for breakfast or snacks.

Some family's are more close knit than others, and not everybody wants to be together in one space all the time.

We couldn't be bothered to cook so we all had dinner in the pub. It was like staying at a hotel.

The village park is just to the rear of the chapel, so the children just ran back and forth to use the toilet.

The best holiday we have ever had, we are definitely coming back.

These are just some positive comments made to me by guests who have stayed at Chapel Apartments.

“Ample facilities for family stay”

Reviewed 25 Feb 2016

The accommodation was spotless, ane excellently equipped. The three flats had ample space for 18 of us, and the main large room in each of the 3 flats gave us ample opportunity for socialising. The cooking facilities were first class, so were the bathrooms and bedrooms. We were allowed to move chairs and dishes from one apparment to another to that we could eat together. In each of the large lounge/dining/kitchen rooms there are two beds which make it possible for six to sleep in comfort. The ceilings have ample lighting which make up for the relatively small windows in the two upper flats. There is an excellent pub, the King's Arms, some hundred yards away, where a warm Welsh welcome awaits all who go there for a drink or for good food. The quiet village is a good centre for a retreat or for discovering the nearby historic sites or the country and beaches. The owner takes great care to ensure that the stayt is safe and successful.

“Ideal group holiday apartments”

Reviewed 4 Oct 2014

Our walking group of 13 members stayed at the Chapel apartments in Llansaint ,Carmarthenshire, for 6 days at the end of September 2014 and had a really nice walking/cycling holiday .The converted chapel consisted of 3 large self contained apartments ,one on each floor .They were clean ,well furnished ,and had all the necessary facilities. We occupied the 3 apartments and were able to get together for meals in the evening and to play cards etc.Gary the owner was very helpful. We covered the area from Pendine to the Gower on the Wales coast path and cycled the Millenium cycle way and hope to return sometime in the future.

“Fabulous accommodation for groups and large families”

Reviewed 30 Jul 2014

We were a party of 3 families looking for a large holiday house in wales. We stumbled on The Chapel quite by accident, and what a gem it turned out to be. The unique design of the building means you can use it as one large house, or 3 separate apartments, giving you your own space when you need it, and togetherness when you want it. The accommodation is lovely and well equipped, with very comfortable beds. The location, while being in a small quiet village, is perfect for touring around, and within comfortable driving distance between the Gower and Tenby, and many other local attractions. Gary the owner was very organised and helpful, and I can wholeheartedly recommend this property.

“Well thought out propert”

Reviewed 20 Jun 2014

Arrived from all directions to stay with extended family which included a full range of ages. Accomodation was perfect for all. very spacious, clean, bright and everything we needed was there. No problem with parking or somewhere to be all able to congregate together or be apart in our own self contained apartment. loads of towels etc. All the extra little bits that you have at home were there ready so reduced stress. Perfect would definitely go again

“Lovely, comfortable and well priced”

Reviewed 17 Sep 2013

12 of us stayed here for a friends wedding in Meidrim. It was very comfortable, and there was plenty of space. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen facilities were great. It is a quiet area and we all had a peaceful time. I would recommend this place are we would all stay again.

“Chapel Apartments is an excellent place for a family holiday.”

Reviewed 31 Aug 2013

A lovely, clean, spacious, well equipped place for a fantastic family holiday. The apartments had everything we needed for a lovely comfortable stay. The DVD collection was much used by the children. The information library was very useful to us all. The apartments were big enough for us all to get together with the opportunity to spend some quiet time in the separate apartments. Chapel Apartments is in a very quiet village with a remarkably quiet pub next door. There is a park close by for the children. We couldn't have asked for more from a holiday accommodation. I loved the home from home comfort, the warm welcome we were given and the choices that the three apartments allowed us.

“Spacious, calm and well equiped apartment”

Reviewed 16 Aug 2013

We felt very welcome, the appartement is spacious, clean an well equiped with comfortable beds. Lots of sites to visit nearby. There is a pub next door, from which you hear no noise at all. We would recommend this Appartement to friends!
