The North Wales region
When it comes to attractions, North Wales offers something to suit every taste... you will find there just aren't enough hours in the day or days in the week.
Castles, stately homes, gardens, lively family parks, art galleries, craft centres, museums, steam trains we have it all!. You can potter around charming towns and villages, explore the coastline, feel soft sand between your toes, or have some family fun at the many events taking place all year round. Whatever the weather, there is something for everyone.
Set between Betws-y-Coed and Conwy, Llanrwst is an ideal place to stay for visiting Snowdonia and North Wales. Within a few minutes walk you can find Antique shops, tea rooms, historic market place, small museum, traditional pubs and riverside walk. A children's play area is just over the bridge, and Gwydir forest and castle just a few minutes drive, offering walking, mountain bike trails and spectacular countryside.
Local tourist information can be found in the town of Betws-y-coed, with gift shops, waterfalls, outdoor equipment shops and tea rooms. Snowdon is about 15 minutes drive from here.
The town of Conwy is on the coast, 15 minutes drive away with a significant castle, town walls, ice cream and fish and chip shops. Beaches can be found nearby, and the Victorian seaside resort of Llandudno has all the traditional seaside amenities you would expect to find.
