Key Info
  • Great for children of all ages

LLethryd Farm Cottage has been recently renovated to a high standard to create two self catering units, each with two bedrooms which can be rented individually or as a pair, handy for two families holidaying together.

The neutral decor, exposed beams and cream tiled flooring makes LLethryd Farm Cottage a very restful and elegant space. The open plan kitchen diner and living room is well designed and has a table which seats four and a sofa and two armchairs. The living space has a small wall mounted flat screen television. Off the living space are two shower rooms each with a wash hand basin, walk in shower and w.c.

Each bedroom has it's own staircase and the rooms are beautifully furnished with double beds, hanging rail and chest.

This is an idyllic spot for those that like to explore the countryside or just relax on the graveled area in front the property where there will be outdoor seating and a BBQ, photos to follow. Beyond a gate is there is an allocated parking area.

Guests have access to the field beyond the farm and there is a lovely woodland on the property with a stream running through it, this would be a lovely area for children to roam.

A path leading from the wood takes you down through the Llethryd Valley all the way to Parc Le Breos once a Medieval Deer Park, but it's history stretches back to Neolithic times with a Neolithic Burial chamber and The Cathole Cave used by Ice Age hunters and later occupied by Bronze Age people. From here you can carry on your walk down through Parkmill and along the valley to Three Cliffs. Three Cliffs is the iconic beach that is in so many photographs and paintings of the Gower.

The Vale of Glamorgan region

Awarded the title of Britain's first Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty in 1956, The Gower Peninsular is a true haven. Tucked away in South-West Wales, Gower offers its visitors the feeling of complete freedom, whilst lying just a short drive from Swansea and the M4. Gower is famous for its beautiful and varied landscape, featuring golden beaches, limestone cliffs, moors, hills and woodland. A popular destination for ramblers, surfers and rock climbers, there's a wide range of activities on offer and always something new to try. Those who want to explore at a more relaxed pace can discover mouth-watering local produce, boutique shopping, cafes, art galleries and more in the popular fishing village of Mumbles. With a rich cultural heritage and plenty of attractions both ancient and modern, the Gower Peninsular is an area of the UK that's not to be overlooked.

Lying in the heart of rural mid Gower, Llethryd is well placed for visiting Llangennith and Weobley Castle, as well as for walks across Cern Bryn and to King Arthur's Stone.
