“Perfect cottage. Tranquil location. Beautiful unspoiled beaches close-by.”

Reviewed 10 Sep 2017

From our arrival until departure we had the perfect holiday in Bayview Cottage, Llanmadoc. The cottage was prepared with care and included a very thoughtfully compiled welcome pack, including some wonderful home produced eggs! Jeff and Alison were the perfect hosts, helpful and friendly but discrete. The cottage is so comfortable and well-equipped, it is like being at someone's home and when the wood-burner is fired up it is wonderfully cosy. There are some great walks around the local beaches of Whiteford and Broughton and the natural habitats within a few minutes stroll. The excellent and celebrated surfing/bodyboarding beach at Llengenith is a 10 minute drive away. In the village are the excellent Britannia Inn which does top-class food and the local community shop, with its wonderful selection of homemade cakes and pastries and tea/coffee, as well as a good selection of food/household items. This is an excellent and very well run holiday cottage which we plan to visit again soon. A++++++++++

Owner's reply: Thankyou all so much for such a glowing review ...hens are on a go slow since you left !! Pleased that you enjoyed your stay with us and enjoyed our local beaches ,shop and pub Our best wishes ,Alison and Jeff

“A well equipped cottage in a lovely location”

Reviewed 7 Aug 2017

We had a lovely week on the Gower. The cottage is in a small village with a community shop and pub (The Britannia Inn - delicious meals). The cottage is equipped with everything you could think of. It is spotlessly clean and cosy with a really comfortable bed (which makes a change from many of the beds in hotels we have stopped at). We were made very welcome from the moment we arrived to the moment we left. Would recommend the cottage without hesitation.

Owner's reply: Thankyou so much Alan for the very positive review . Pleased that you enjoyed your stay at Bayview and that everything was to your satisfaction.... Alison and Jeff

“4 nights, 5 amazing days.”

Reviewed 1 Jun 2017

Can't really be more positive about bayview cottage. Lovely, well thought out, finished and supplied home for a few days. Jeff was amazing with the kids, showing them where the wildlife was hiding. It made the perfect base to recover in for our adventures out. Jeff directed us up llanmadoc hill the first day, 2 hours to see us up, down and in the Britannia inn for a great dinner. The view from up there is amazing. The wormshead island was the reason we came to the gower, put it on your must do list. 3 cliffs bay, walking in from pennard castle approach has me smiling now. Book bayview cottage. it's a great base, we will go back. Thankyou Jeff.

Owner's reply: Thankyou very much for the review.Jeff enjoyed showing your lads around the place finding all the bugs and lizards...pleased you enjoyed your time with us at Bayview Cottage and glad you enjoyed The Gower ...we certainly will look forward to meeting up with you again in the future Alison and Jeff

“Lovely cottage in beautiful part of Wales”

Reviewed 21 May 2017

The Gower is beautiful part of Wales, cottage and area was all that we wanted. There are lovely walks all around the cottage and our hosts gave us a friendly welcome after a long journey.

Owner's reply: Thankyou for the review .Pleased that you both enjoyed your time at the cottage and liked the walks around Llanmadoc and Gower Coast area. Alison and Jeff

“Excellent”

What a fantastic place to stay.Bayview cottage is beautifully decorated & well equipped. We had a lovely welcome from Alison & Jefff, even our dog Bailey was made to feel welcome. Jeff kindly let us use one of his fields to exercise him. It was lovely having the log burner as it did go chilly at night & plenty of logs were provided..There is a village shop that sells homemade cakes (fully reccomended) & The Britannia Inn pub a bit further along the road.Bayview is within easy reach of all the beaches & there are plenty of them.Three cliffs bay is beautiful.but not easy to get too.Its a steep path down so hard going coming back up. I would reccomended Bayview cottage to anyone looking for a dog friendly cottage, which is near the beaches & in a rural village location. The Gower really is a lovely place to stay..

Owner's reply: Thankyou very much Tina for the kind remarks.and review of Bayview Cottage,Llanmadoc..very pleased you enjoyed your stay! Bailey also had a good time too ,I hope! You have summed up Llanmadoc and Gower as it really is...beautiful !
