Description

Beautiful conversion of a Victorian cottage within the grounds of Treberfydd House, a Victorian Gothic Country House estate in rural Wales. All the modern conveniences in a peaceful setting in the Brecon Beacon National Park, including your own garden, self contained parking , a wood-burning stove, and stunning views of the Black Mountains. Fabulous restaurants and farm shops within a short drive as well as Llangorse Lake with boating facilities, beautiful walks out of your front door, and great biking trails. An all-around location for the perfect family holiday. The cottage is cosy and warm, with excellent insulation and heating and hot water provided by a woodchip biomass boiler - perfect for autumn and winter breaks.

The Cottage has three comfortable bedrooms with king size beds - one en-suite downstairs and two upstairs sharing a large family bathroom. One bedroom offers the option of being split into twin beds, so ideal for children or teens. Please let us know if you would like this arrangement when you book. Saddlery Cottage is just a short walk on a private drive through the estate from The Barn at Treberfydd (holiday lettings no 1396766), which sleeps 8.

Booking is normally for a minimum of three nights but between November and March we are offering special two night weekend breaks with check out on Sunday at 4.30 pm - please enquire for further details. (Excludes Christmas, New Year and February half term week).

“Cosy Cottage”

Reviewed 14 Apr 2018

We had a lovely stay. Plenty of hiking and kayaking nearby and a fire to curl up in front of in the evenings.

“The Saddlery Cottage”

Reviewed 24 Oct 2017

2 adults, 3 children and a dog stayed for a long weekend and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The cottage was beautiful, had everything we needed, very clean and cosy (the wood burner was lovely). We would definitely go again.

“The perfect retreat!”

Reviewed 2 Feb 2017

A stunning converted cottage set in the beautiful peaceful grounds of Treberfydd House and gardens. Pet friendly and comfortably sleeps six with two bathrooms, one en-suite. The cottage has its own private parking and is situated next to a courtyard adjacent to the main house with fantastic views over Llangors lake and the peaks of the Black Mountains beyond. If you want to chill and escape from the world for a few days this is the place to be. Outdoor lovers will love the flora and fauna of the gardens, particularly the diverse tree collection. The lake is only a short walk away with a rich variety of bird life to view from local bird hides. A short drive away is the black mountains or a bit further towards Brecon are the Beacons and Pen Y Fan mountain. David the owner is very friendly and helpful and always very mindful to ensure guests have their own space. There are excellent eating facilities in nearby villages, although shops and garages are quite scarce so best to fuel and stock up before you get there. This was our second visit and we will definitely return. Thoroughly recommended!
