“A tip top place to stay in beautiful surroundings”

Reviewed 15 Jan 2015

It's hard to write a true reflection of this lovely place because one needs to go and actually enjoy both the barn and the countryside. The photos don't do it justice at all. We visited the barn as a family party and we all really enjoyed our stay. The standard was brilliant: clean, welcoming, warm, relaxing and everything was of very high quality. We even had logs supplied; a treat. The barn was within easy reach of bracing walks and welcoming pubs. We genuinely would love to return to explore more of the area and switch off in such beautiful surroundings.

“Couldn't have asked for anything better!”

Reviewed 22 Apr 2014

We had the best few days ever! The barn has just been restored so it was all fresh and new when we got there. Loads of outside space in the courtyard that my 6 year old thoroughly enjoyed in the evenings. I expected the barn to be really cold in the evenings but I was pleasantly surprised at how cosy and warm it was throughout the whole stay. All rooms had ensuite (which the teenagers were very happy about). Amazing showers! The kitchen has everything you need and there is a wood fire too. There are lots of things to do in the surrounding areas too. We are a family with 3 kids of 19, 15 and 6 (so all very different ages) but we found loads of things to do that they all enjoyed. We went kayaking with them (Wye Valley canoes) which was lots of laughs for all of us! and we also did the Four falls walk which is a waterfall walk. Even got to go behind one of the falls. All the kids were amazed! The walk starts about 25 miles away near a place called Ystadfellte. You definately need a car to stay here! The barn is only a few steps away from Treberfydd House which is a grade 1 listed building and I believe part of the recent "Sherlock Holmes" was filmed there. We all left wanting to stay longer. My 6 year old was heartbroken to leave his new friend "Brecon" (the owners friendly dog) who would come to visit most days.
