“Everything was absolutely perfect (except the wet weather as Fiona had regretfully said!)”

Reviewed 29 May 2012

We were very lucky to find availability at short notice, and very pleased too given the quality of the accommodation. As Fiona had promised to us beforehand, everything was top quality, except the weather, but that's just the British summer in full swing! The single best thing about this place was Space. We were a huge party of 11 adults and 2 toddlers. Fiona and Bryan didn't flinch at this at all, and on the contrary welcomed all of us with extra bedding and warmth! It was the first time in Britain for a few in our group, and indeed their first day in the country having landed in Heathrow only the previous evening. As their first taste of the country, they were more than impressed by the stunning countryside and equally beautiful hospitality of the hosts (and their brimming stable of cows and calves - a calf was born on the last night that we were there, and Bryan came around to share the good news with all of us!) Very few drawbacks, if any, but I'm sure that Fiona and Bryan, who have lovingly restored this 17th century structure, would more than compensate for them with the quality of the accommodation and their service. We will be back there if ever we were to be in that part of the world again (hopefully soon!)
