Description

Renovated stone Welsh Cottage, unique in appearance from the outside and inside

A traditional Welsh Cottage built circa 1850 - Coed Madog ("Beneficent Woods") is a stunning, character, 4 bedroomed property with breathtaking gardens.

Situated in Llanfairfechan and only hundreds of yards from the border of the Snowdonia National Park, it is perfectly positioned for access to many local attractions.

This recently renovated cottage comprises of 3 double beds and x2 single beds in the "Crog Loft". A fixed cot is available and a travel cot - there is also a Futon in the upper bedroom, if needed.

The kitchen is fully equipped with a washer and dryer, a dish washer, microwave, farm house table and a TV in the dining area, too. There is an X-box in the lounge for use by guests, if they wish. Free WIFI also is available ( please note that signal can vary from time to time ).

The conservatory has comfortable furniture with the doors opening onto the patio area.

Coed Madog is presented with extensive gardens - to the rear of the property there is a trampoline and children's some outdoor toys. The front garden has beautiful flowers, with a small stream and is a real suntrap by evening - a gas bbq is available for use (we just ask our guests to please clean after use). To the side of the house a small brook passes offering a relaxing back note.

There are fenced areas around the property and we strictly ask guests not to enter the higher gardened area (this would pose a significant safety risk - the gradient and loose ground could cause guests to fall and hurt themselves, at least.

The cottage is very cosy, homely and tranquil - we hope that you will enjoy it as much as we do!

“Lovely!”

Reviewed 31 Dec 2018

Cosy well equipped cottage. Beautiful garden! Just felt slightly too small for 9 people. Only because it was impossible for all of us to sit together in an evening and round the dining table. Yes we could in the conservatory but was a shame cos the lovely log burner was in the lounge. Probably wouldn't be so much a problem in the summer. Other than that, no other negatives.
