Location description from owner

The North Wales region

Llandudno is "The Queen of Welsh Resorts", a very popular Resort which lies between the Little Orme and the Great Orme. The town is unique in that it has maintained its Victorian and Edwardian elegance and splendour despite its modern attractions. It is packed with great restaurants, bars, cafe's, theatre, museum, art gallery etc and is the premier shopping centre on the North Wales Coast.

* Beaches - 2 lovely blue flag beaches, the North Shore with it's Victorian Promenade and Pier and the quiet,
sandy West Shore, a sand castle paradise with fantastic views of the Snowdonia Mountain range.

* Victorian Great Orme Tramway - This has been delighting visitors since it opened in 1902.
An engineering marvel of its age, it's still the only cable-hauled tramway still operating on British public roads.

* Llandudno Cable Car - At over one mile each way, it's the longest Aerial Cabin Lift in the UK.

* Great Orme Copper Mines - Walk through tunnels and caverns mined out over 3,500 years ago and discover
what is now thought to be the largest Prehistoric mine, so far discovered in the World.

* Great Orme Country Park - Whether your interests lie in history, bird watching and natural history or simply
walking or enjoying spectacular views, the Great Orme has miles of trails to explore with flora and fauna
unique to the Great Orme

* Golf Courses - 2 Golf Courses, a true links course of Championship standard with breath taking views over
the Conwy estuary to Anglesey and the Snowdonia Mountain range.

The medieval walled town of Conwy is only 3 miles away, steeped in history with it's magnificent Castle
built in 1283, today it is one of the best preserved castles in North Wales, A Must See!

The Snowdania Country Park - only approx 30 miles to the base of Yr Wyddfa (Snowdon) in the heart of the country park

Llandudno

Just a few minutes walk from the cottage takes you onto the Little Orme with it's lovely walks and scenery including Angel Bay with it's seal colony.

Local Pub, The Penrhyn Arms, with its award winning Real Ales is approx 10 mins walk from the cottage.

Penrhyn Bay village is approx 0.5 mile away where you will find a great Chinese restaurant, and shops including supermarket and butchers.

We stayed from Wednesday night through to Saturday day. I came to this cottage with my husband, three year old daughter and my in law parents. My daughter absolutely loved the surrounding gardens. it was magical to her and lots of hiding places for hide and seek both in the garden and in the house! She could play in the back garden whilst we sat (in what i think was an orangery?) and kept an eye on her playing. The cottage was lovely and clean, you could smell the clean bedding in arrival. The beds are incredibly comfortable and the lovely balcony in the master bedroom was just nice to stand on and take in some fresh air with a brew. The Aga was such a positive experience and i recommend reading the Mary Berry Aga book that is stood on the kitchen work surface - it really expands your meal ideas! you just have to warm your children that this is hot to touch at all times as it is never turned off. We headed down to Llandudno Pier way everyday in the car which was less than a ten minute drive. The front itself is just a twenty minute walk from the cottage - we went running on the Llandudno front (and around the orme!). It is a very peaceful place to stay and the cottage is a lot bigger than it looks. We have nothing to say and it exceeded our expectations. We returned back to a busy Manchester feeling refreshed. I have nothing negative to say and will definitely return here over a weekend as the Pier has more activities on for children at the weekend. This cottage and Llandudno itself is very toddler child friendly. Thank you very much for our lovely exprience. Laura, Carl, Faris, Lynn and Dave.

It is so good to hear that the family enjoyed the cottage as it should be. They were model guests and left the cottage exactly as they found it. i would recommend this family happily as guests that could be welcomed anywhere. Regards Tracy
