Description

VILLA KEF is approved by THE GREEK TOURIST BOARD. This is a holiday home that we go to twice a year so it has to have all that we want and therefore should have all that visitors expect and more. Our caretakers are English. Weeks are getting booked. If your weeks are booked we do have property Father Teds on this website ....no pool but stunning location!

We suggest that you DO NOT rent VILLA KEF if:

1. If you wish to be surrounded by other holidaymakers.

2. If you want the noise of living near a popular beach or several tavernas.

3 If you DO NOT want the real Greek experience.

4. If you want to pay tourist rates rather than the locals rate for food and drink.

5. If you wish to use a waste bin for your toilet paper as is usual in Greece .

6. If you wish to see and hear the increasing number of aircraft arrivals into EFL.

7. If you don't wish to be within a very short drive of several beautiful beaches including Petani voted the best beach on a YouTube video.

8. If you want to rent somewhere where you are NOT within easy reach of the two main towns should you need something a bit different.

9.If you do not want an elevated view over a village and the coast with twinkling lights at night and mostly silence.

10. If you wish to share a swimming pool and not have automatic pool lights allowing late swims.

11. If you do not wish to be on the edge of a historical village with facilities.

13. If you do not want any help or suggestions as to how to make the most of your holiday together with a quality map.

14.If you wish to rent a property that isn't licensed and you could lose your holiday if the authorities clamp down on the owner.

15. If you want to take notice of many poor recommendations as to where to stay in Kefalonia on social media!

Even though there are more like these, you get the idea as to why we are different.

We chose the location for the villa by purchasing the land exactly where we wanted it. We own the land to the side and down to the road and there is a sea view as far as Zakynthos. Behind the villa there is a rocky hill. The road is very quiet (30 vehicles an hour counted at busy commuting times and a temporary diversion past the villa) but situated on the edge of the largest village on the Paliki Peninsula with the associated facilities including a great bar and taverna as well as two village shops.

This villa is truly more luxurious than our bungalow in the UK and the internet is faster!

There is ample parking with spacious grounds. There are olive trees, lemon trees and shaded areas. You overlook the village rather than you being overlooked. For the young and old there is a water park that is a very short drive away.

The pool is of course for you alone and the pool lights come on automatically creating a lovely ambiance on warm summer evenings and of course this also allows you to swim well into the evening. You have the twinkling lights from the village below when looking out across to the sea.

To accompany all this there is a luxury 5 burner gas BBQ with a vine covered pergola. The village facilities can provide most essentials that you might need including freshly made pizza if you do not wish to BBQ.

As well as offering good value we also assist your stay with suggestion for beaches, tavernas, places to visit, as well as providing a good quality map of the island ahead of your visit when you book. With this help you can eat in some really good tavernas for as little as £10 per person inclusive of food and wine! We can also help you with car hire and we pass the full booking discount that we can get onto you the visitor.

We are told by the locals that you will not find another villa offering what VILLA KEF provides in the area.

WE HAVE UK TYPE DRAINAGE AND YOU WILL NOT HAVE TO PLACE TOILET PAPER IN BINS!

We provide a welcome pack with some essentials for your arrival and the village shops are well stocked and remain open very late.

The lounge and dining area is spacious.

The fully equipped fitted kitchen is excellent and has a touch control hob with built in extractor.

Both bedrooms have their own balconies, air conditioning and fully fitted wardrobes. All furnishings and equipment are of the highest quality.

The 5th bed is a self inflating mattress intended for families perhaps with 3 children or an adult if acceptable.You will not find much that we do not provide as this is our holiday home also! As well as the en-suite in the double bedroom there are two other wash rooms with toilets.

YOU DO NOT HAVE TO USE TOILET PAPER BINS FOR THE TOILETS AT VILLA KEF AS YOU WILL ELSEWHERE..

VILLA KEF has its own entrance gates with ample room for parking.

The garden has olive trees, lemon trees, and interesting and colourful plants. It provides many shaded areas to sit and relax. There is a splendid outside secluded tiled table.

There is also a large pergola draped in vines.

The pool area is spacious with ample seating, sun loungers, and a gas BBQ. The pool complies with the Greek Tourist Regulations and is 7 x 4 metres.

Our pool and villa ladies are contactable. We aim to provide as much information as you require to make your holiday one of the best ever. This is why we post you a map ahead of your visit. We can give information on beaches, tavernas, bars, places to visit and shopping. We hold a provisional booking whilst you locate flights and even help you with this if required. In 2016 we had a visually impaired couple stay and we could even cater for their requirements!

“Lovely villa on a beautiful Island”

You know it’s a good holiday when all agree that we wish we could have stayed longer. The owners were very easy to deal with during the booking process, in the run up to the holiday and during the holiday itself. They sent a useful map and lots of info about the villa and the island prior to the holiday and we used lots of their advice/suggestions during our stay. The Villa itself overlooks the village of Havdata a short drive away from Lixouri. You can get the ferry from Argostoli to Lixouri but we preferred to drive around the bay with it’s beautiful views. The pool area at the villa is great, with far reaching views, is lit at night allowing longer swimming time and are also some shaded areas under a pergoda that is wrapped in grapevine and is a nice feature. Downstairs is a large open plan dining/living/kitchen area that is well equipped with all need (large fridge freezer/dishwasher etc) with a shower room off (washing machine in there). Upstairs are 2 bedrooms (one en-suite), and a separate bathroom. Both bedrooms have ac units, one had a slight issue which the owners dealt with during our stay keeping in contact throughout. There is a lovely good sized balcony accessible from both bedrooms which we used for breakfast every day, and a second smaller balcony accessible from the master bedroom. Havdata has a couple of shops, a tavern and Billy’s place. We used the shops and also ate and drank at Billy’s place where they are very friendly and unbelievably well priced for large Mythos’ and home made pizzas. Further afield we liked Lixouri and had a good meal at v and s another recommendation from the owners. We loved Petani beach (another recommendation) and ate there as well. Assos is beautiful and Myrtos beach quite stunning. We also went to Melissani Lake, Drogerati caves, St George’s Castle, and Argostoli Harbour where we saw turtles (by the fishing boats seems the best place from our experience). It’s a great villa on a beautiful island there were other places we wished we’d got to like Fiskardo but ran out of time. Thoroughly recommend both Villa Kef and Kefalonia

“Beautiful Villa in Chefalonia”

Recently booked this gorgeous Villa for a weeks holiday , we were looking for a peaceful private location with a nice pool and we found it in Villa Kef . The Villa has everything you need and was spotless , there was a lovely appreciated welcome pack of milk ,bread ,butter ,orange juice & water to help us settle in . Although Villa Kef is off the beaten track you are only a short car ride away from lovely restaurants ,shops ,and bars . The Villas location is fantastic for visiting some of Chefalonias beautiful beaches ,you really are spoilt for choice ! The owners have thought of everything to ensure their guests have a great stay and are extremely accommodating and happy to advise of places to go if this is your first visit to Chefalonia . If your looking for a relaxing holiday in a real Greek island community then l cannot recommend this Villa enough , my only regret is we didn’t book it for two weeks ! Michael & Marina .
