“Comfortable apartment in a lovely peaceful setting”

Reviewed 8 Nov 2017

The apartment was very comfortable and had everything we needed, well situated for some lovely walks, we had a lovely few days and would definitely return.

“Cosy, clean and perfectly located”

Reviewed 30 Oct 2017

We have just returned from a long weekend in the Dales and stayed 3 nights at Meadow View. The apartment was lovely. Very clean, cosy and comfortable. The pictures online, do it no justice. Was pleasantly supprised when we arrived. Great location, quite, pretty and not far at all from all the famous and popular sites. We ventured out every day and was never in the car any longer than 25mins. For a dog friendly, well located apartment, this is well worth the money. Would definatly book again of we return!

“wonderful location”

Reviewed 15 Oct 2017

The location is wonderful, surrounded by beautiful fields & pretty houses. The local pub was a real treat & the food amazing. The apartment its self was great with all you need, good size & great for dogs. I only have a few issues, which can easily be rectified & the apartment would definitely benefit from. They are: 1) The front door. It was very difficult to open as i think it may have recently been painted?? someone older & weaker would struggle to open it. 2) The bed needs a new mattress 3) the sofas also need replacing as the foam is not so supportive & worn out. Would i visit again? Yes! great price, great place but i do stress these minor problems (bed & sofa) are quite big if you intended to stay longer than a weekend. over all i would definitely recommend.

“Our special stay”

Reviewed 11 Aug 2017

We were looking forward to our stay at Meadow View but it surpassed our expectations. The view from the apartment was amazing, very quiet and the apartment was lovely, modern, clean and a good size with everything you would need. Lovely walks in Litton and Tideswell with friendly local pubs. Short drives into Bakewell ,Buxton etc

“Perfect, just perfect”

Reviewed 24 Jul 2017

I booked for a two night stay as a surprise for my husbands birthday. The accommodation was more than we could have hoped for. It was all so easy, right from booking to parking the car. A short stroll from Tideswell and an even closer stroll to the lovely pub (The Red Lion) for food. The dogs loved sitting in the garden watching the sheep as much as we did. The only problem I had was not wanting to leave.

“Stunning apartment”

Reviewed 14 May 2017

What a lovely peaceful apartment. Me and my boyfriend visited her for 2 nights. The views from the front door were incredible and I highly recommend the local pub for food (the red Lion Inn) you will need to book though. The village Tideswell is a lovely short walk away, with shops, places to eat and drink. Highly recommended I would happily visit again. Thankyou

“Cosy and comfortable apartment, good value and ideal for two.”

Reviewed 21 Apr 2017

We loved the location on the edge of the village and the neighbouring lambs. The amenities in Litton and Tideswell were in easy walking distance and we could walk using the public footpaths straight from our door. The apartment had everything we needed and was very warm.

“Great location and lovely apartment”

Reviewed 2 Jan 2017

Litton is a lovely village and the apartment is just 5 mins walk to the local amenities (the pub and shop). The apartment was clean and tidy and well furnished with everything you will need for a short stay. Ideal for a couple and great that they allow dogs. The apartment is situated directly on a public footpath so access to walks very easy.

“Great apartment in a wondeful location”

Reviewed 9 Nov 2016

We had a wonderful time exploring Litton and the wonderful countryside surrounding the village. The apartment had everything we needed and was a great place to relax after a day walking with our dog Henry. As well as the Red Lion in Litton Tideswell also had great places to eat and drink. We look forward to visiting again soon.

“Peaceful Location”

Reviewed 2 Oct 2016

Unfortunately our stay was waterlogged, due to heavy rain. However, the cottage was comfortable and cosy. It was very peaceful and quiet. Perfect for us to recharge the batteries. The place was very clean and had everything we needed. I would have liked to have some basic cooking spices, perhaps salt and pepper? The bathroom has a wonderful large bath and overhead shower. I couldn't find a hair dryer, which was a bit of a let down. The bed was really comfortable and there was plenty of storage space for our things. I think the lighting was my least favourite thing, it could be improved by adding a lamp in the corner opposite the TV? I also found some damp, smelly clothes in the washing machine? Sorry, forgot to mention! The food at the Red Lion was spectacular! I would recommend this place, especially if you love the peaks and walking. Shame we couldn't get out and about but were well rested anyway.

Owner's reply: Hi I'm sorry to hear about the clothes left in the washing machine - I will make sure the cleaners remember to check in future. We take your comments on board about a hair dryer and an additional lamp. Sounds like other than that it was only the weather that let you down, so a shame you felt that the lack of hair dryer and a lamp meant you only thought we deserved three stars. We do our best for our guests and act upon any suggestions wherever possible.
