This fully equipped, central heated holiday apartment is in the picturesque Peak District village of Litton, near Bakewell and Buxton with views onto beautiful open countryside and within walking distance of Tideswell, famed for it's Cathedral of the Peak.

Location:
•Five minutes' walk to pub and local shop.
•Footpaths from the door across the fields to Cressbrook Dale and the Monsal Trail is close by.
•Close to the towns of Bakewell and Buxton in the Peak District National Park.
•Chatsworth House and Park and Haddon Hall within 15 minutes' drive.

Accommodation:
•One double bedroom.
•Large open plan fully fitted kitchen and living room with dining area.
•Newly fitted bathroom - large bath with shower over.
General information:
•Pets most welcome - maximum 2.
•Arrival not earlier than 3.00pm on first day and not after 9.00pm.

“Bijou”

Fortunately it was very good weather the few days we stayed and we enjoyed the surrounding countryside and walking opportunities. If it had rained all day we might have felt very couped up! It was comfortable however and apart from the awkward steps down to the road well appointed and well positioned for lovely views. Local shops and eateries were not cheap but of good quality. We are certainly thinking of going again.

This apartment is great. Larger than others we’ve stayed in - two settees in the lounge area and a distinctly separate kitchen area. Well equipped fitted kitchen, great storage in the bedroom, large bath & shower and private outside area that gets the sun all day. Fantastic location - Litton 5 minute and Tideswell 20 minute walks away - lovely 45 minute walk to Millers Dale. Great value for money - would definitely visit again!

All the reviews about this place are spot on . The home is clean to a very high standard with everything you need . You will not get better views anywhere . Within 30 minutes there is loads of places to visit and there are some spectacular walks in all directions around the property . The local pub is 2 minutes away and there are many more within just a few miles . Only here for a few days but would love to return in the future .

“Ideal location.”

Meadow View was the perfect location for a weekend in the Peak District. The cottage was really comfortable and homely. It's located right on a footpath and you can walk to Millers Dale and the Monsal Trail from the cottage. There's plenty more to do and see a short drive away. We were able to arrive late as the cottage now has a key box (rather than the arrive before 9pm on the web site). We needed a torch as the cottage is up some steps then a short, fairly steep footpath which is partially lit, however the light by the house is not working so we'd have struggled to get the key from the box without a torch. The cottage is well equipped (although a spare blanket would have been nice to keep warm at night without having the heating on continually.) The cottage is very peaceful - surrounded by fields and sheep. The small enclosed garden meant our dog could sniff around safely whilst we were removing walking boots etc (on a warmer day we'd have been having a glass of wine outside watching the sunset!). A thoroughly enjoyable stay!

Stopped here for a short break and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Lovely little appartment !!!! It was clean and comfortable and had everything you need for your stay. Cosy nights in playing the games provided with a glass of wine were welcomed after being out all day. Very peaceful and tranquil, our dog loved having the fields on our doorstep. Lots of beautiful walks nearby - advise taking a map as we got lost on our first day and had no phone signal so unable to use sat nav. Being unexperienced hikers the walking took it's toll on all of our leg muscles , we did walk alot more miles than intended though We will hopefully return for another visit , but armed with a map and walking boots.

How do damage deposits work?
