“Great apartment in a wondeful location”

Reviewed 9 Nov 2016

We had a wonderful time exploring Litton and the wonderful countryside surrounding the village. The apartment had everything we needed and was a great place to relax after a day walking with our dog Henry. As well as the Red Lion in Litton Tideswell also had great places to eat and drink. We look forward to visiting again soon.

“Peaceful Location”

Reviewed 2 Oct 2016

Unfortunately our stay was waterlogged, due to heavy rain. However, the cottage was comfortable and cosy. It was very peaceful and quiet. Perfect for us to recharge the batteries. The place was very clean and had everything we needed. I would have liked to have some basic cooking spices, perhaps salt and pepper? The bathroom has a wonderful large bath and overhead shower. I couldn't find a hair dryer, which was a bit of a let down. The bed was really comfortable and there was plenty of storage space for our things. I think the lighting was my least favourite thing, it could be improved by adding a lamp in the corner opposite the TV? I also found some damp, smelly clothes in the washing machine? Sorry, forgot to mention! The food at the Red Lion was spectacular! I would recommend this place, especially if you love the peaks and walking. Shame we couldn't get out and about but were well rested anyway.

Hi I'm sorry to hear about the clothes left in the washing machine - I will make sure the cleaners remember to check in future. We take your comments on board about a hair dryer and an additional lamp. Sounds like other than that it was only the weather that let you down, so a shame you felt that the lack of hair dryer and a lamp meant you only thought we deserved three stars. We do our best for our guests and act upon any suggestions wherever possible.

“Excellent quaint base for a peak district break”

Reviewed 13 Sep 2013

When you arrive at a location to a spotless warm flat to tea bags fresh milk and chocolate biscuits - you know you are in for a treat. An open planned lounge/kitchen with a bedroom big enough for your break and a modern bathroom is ample for us as a couple with dogs being welcomed. Over looking the rolling peaks in Litton local amenities are just a walk away as is the very next town of Tideswell. A good selection of books and board games as well as free wifi help the evenings and relaxation times. Ordnance survey maps and guides also on hand to plan your stay My only regret is i didnt meet our expectional hosts who live in adjacent property. Cracking property cracking time away and will be first choice for our next visit.

Thank you, we are pleased you enjoyed your stay. We are sorry we didn't get the opportunity to meet you - we do aim to give our guests a peaceful, uninterrupted stay but are available in case of problems, of course. We hope to see you in the future!

Super fully equipped apartment, with lovely welcome by friendly helpful owners! Great to be able to take our dog with us, (small enclosed front garden for him to sniff & patrol!) Beautiful rural views & walks from the door! Good location for easy access to many beautiful areas of the Peak District! Hope to return soon!

Thank you for taking the time to write a review. We hope to see you again sometime!
