Description

A sensitive conversion of a former Methodist Chapel in the middle of the pretty village of Litton Cheney in the Bride Valley near Bridport. The Chapel has a comfortable lounge area near the large fireplace with wood burning stove, satellite tv and DVD player, iPod docking station and CD player. The dining table has original Chapel chairs and the compact but well fitted kitchen has everything you could need. Under the stairs is the freezer, cushions for the outside chairs and a picnic basket. Stairs lead to the large open gallery main bedroom with the clean fresh bathroom and second single bedroom off. Outside us a private garden with rosemary bushes and flowers, a patio, BBQ, table and chairs with parasol and a bench seat to catch the evening sun.Parking is in the shared driveway immediately outside the garden, the owner lives in the adjoining house. This is a perfect base for walking holidays, fossil hunting, cycling, the coast and beaches, archeology and exploring the beautiful county.

Location description from owner

The Dorset region

The Bride Valley is a beautiful area between the Jurassic coast and the chalk downs, Litton Cheney is situated in the middle but facing south, on quiet nights you can hear the waves on Chesil beach. Ideal for walkers, explorers and people just wishing for a comfortable peaceful holiday in front of the log burner if it's wet and if you don't want to cook, the village pub is a short 10 minute walk away.

Litton Cheney

Dorset is outstanding and often missed out as people travel to Devon or Cornwall but it has soft chalk downs rolling towards the coast, fossils discovered daily cliffs and on the beaches, masses of fantastic restaurants and pubs, cider, fishing trips, jazz and blues festivals, even a world famous hat festival - just so much to do!
