The delightful property is a stone fronted architect designed cottage tucked away up a leafy lane in the picturesque village of Little Petherick only two miles south of the fishing village of Padstow. Contemporary interior the cottage sleeps four people, offering TWO bathrooms , one en suite and open log fire and central heating. Padstow has a fantastic choice of restaurants and pubs including Rick Stein's Seafood restaurant and Paul Ainsworth's Number Six Michelin star restaurant. Also in Padstow Boots the chemist. Post Office, Barclays and HSBC Banks, Choughs Bakery, Joules, Fat Face, White Stuff and Seasalt, Crewe, to name but a few . Rick Stein's St Petroc's Bistro, Cafe, Patisserie , Cookery School , Fish and Chips and Gift Shop are also in the town. Within a mile or so from the cottage are three local pubs. The Ring O Bells in St Issey which merges with Little Petherick serves delicious home cooked food and a memorable Sunday lunch. Rick Stein's pub the Cornish Arms at St Merryn is within fifteen minutes drive from the property.
Close by is the award winning Padstow Farm Shop which sells many tempting items including home reared meat and home grown vegetables and pasta , Cornish cheese ,dairy products, speciality breads, locally made yoghurt and muesli and Camel Valley wines. We happily accept well behaved dogs and children are very welcome at Dairy Cottage. WiFi
The area is known for it's outstanding natural beauty and the cottage is within approximately fifteen minutes drive of eight glorious beaches including Harlyn Bay for surfing, Constanitine Bay, Porthcothan, Booby's Bay, Trevone Bay which is ideal for small children and the beach at Treyarnon . Hawker's Cove is only eight minutes from the cottage a offers your dog a wonderful off- lead experience which is safe and fun. From here you can take the passenger ferry across to Daymer Bay opposite. For golfers we are within fifteen minutes from Trevose Golf course.
There is something to do for everyone in the area from breadmaking at Tom's Bakery in Wadebridge to exploring the Cornish coastline by Kayak or simply building sand castles on the beach. Exploring the Cornish coastline by Kayak is simply breathtaking ,flat calm seas and being able to discover secret coves ,unspoilt beaches , venture into othewise inaccessible caves and paddle through lagoon like gullies. North Cornwall is host to a wealth of marine and bird life , you may be lucky enough to see Dolphins, Seals,Puffins and Sea Lemons.
Rock climbing is a fantastic experience for first timers , this is a fun day out for all ages and confidence levels.
Tina's riding stables at St Merryn is only ten minutes away and offers riding for all levels including beach rides out to Harlyn Bay.
Dairy Cottage is on one level and sleeps four people and has the advantage of two bathrooms one being en suite to the master bedroom. The cottage is well equipped and has a stylish contemporary feel about it with light wooden floors, painted white walls , a full en suite bathroom offering power shower and bath and a second shower room directly opposite the twin bedroom. Large 42 inch Samsung , dvd player, selection of dvd's , board games. Open Log Fire , Central Heating and WiFi.

The Cornwall region
The area is well known for it's beautiful beaches, breathtaking scenery, lovely walks, a wide choice of outdoor activities, Trevose Golf course, marine and bird life and hopefully many of the things that you are looking for when choosing your holiday. Within ten minutes drive is Harlyn Bay which is popular ideal for surfing or just lying on the beach or simply building sand castles.
There are many glorious walks in the area and we are on the Saint's Way, the walk from Little Petherick creek to Padstow is particularly popular with our guests. Discover wonderful walks to Bedruthan Steps, Trevose Head to name but a few and keep going !
In recent years the area has become a mecca for food lovers with no less than two restaurants achieving Michelin stars, Paul Ainsworth at Number Six in Padstow and Nathan Outlaw's Restaurant in Rock. At Watergate Bay situated over looking the spectacular beach is Jamie Oliver's Fifteen Cornwall . Within five minutes drive from the cottage is The Journeyman restaurant situated in an old Mill serving memorable English and Authentic Asian cuisine. The Ring O Bells in pub in St Issey offers home cooked food and an excellent Sunday lunch. Rick Stein's Seafood restaurant and cookery school are in Padstow itself. On the way to Hawker's Cove beach and Harlyn Bay is the award winning Padstow Farm Shop.
There is much to see an do here in North Cornwall , Cycle the Camel Trail from Padstow, go Sea Kayaking and explore otherwise inaccessible coves and caves, have a go at Rock Climbing, make your own bread at Tom's Bakery in Wadebridge, sailing and fishing , or simply relax on one of our many beaches within easy reach . There are many historic houses and gardens and National Trust properties within easy reach , Pencarrow, Prideaux Place, Lahhydrock, Trereice, and Cotehele to name but a few. For younger members of the family they can enjoy numerous fun days out within easy reach including, Dairyland, Spring Fields Pony Centre, Crealy's Adventure Park, Gweek Seal Sanctuary, and Flambards and Land's End.

Wonderful beaches, great walks , stunning scenery, fantastic restaurants and pubs serving good home cooked food.
The area is on the gulf stream so the climate is milder than in other parts of the country .
