Very Good

“Great cottage. Great Area.”

Reviewed 26 Jul 2017

The cottage is situated just a couple of miles from Little Haven. There is as great walk down to the village through country lanes or an easier walk along a main road into Broad Haven. Little Have is then just a short walk over the hill or at low tide along the beach. The cottage has everything you need including a large garage/storage area. This has BBQ's which are there for visitors use. A drying line if you need to use it and a tumble drier if required. All inside the garage area. There is a great seating area outside the kitchen where you can relax and eat. There is also a large lawn area which is great for kids. The cottage has everything you will need to make it a great stay. The area in general is great for walking and exploring the Pembrokeshire Coast line. Easy access to main roads for visits to St.Davids,Tenby etc.Little Haven itself has some great pubs where you can eat. The Swan is more fine dining, the Castle is good. The St.Brides is however in our opinion the best. It has great food, friendly staff and a good selection of beers. There is plenty to do in a short distance for all ages. From high speed boat rides to a theme park. With everything from Dinosaur parks to Zoo's in between. The owner of the cottage is William who is a genuinely friendly and helpful person. He is on call if you need him. The only thing you need to do is clear up how you pay for the gas with him. We wrongly thought we would be billed after the meter had been read. We left and had William driving behind us flashing his lights as we hadn't paid for the gas. Make sure you call him before you leave. The gas is cheap so nothing to worry about. We would recommend this as a great base for your holiday.St.Davids is worth a visit.Eat at the Bishops Pub.Anna's Welsh zoo is great for all ages.Tenby offers all the usual Seaside entertainment but does have a few gems hidden in side streets if you look for them.Pembroke Castles is always good and is the birth place of the Tudors. Marloes Sands,Newgale and White Sands Bay are for the surfers. If you want History, thrills or peace and quite the area has it all. Enjoy your stay whatever you decide to do.
