Description

Hawthorn Cottage is one half of a renovated 18th C barn in the middle of the Pembrokeshire National Park. It can also be rented with it's sister cottage, Ash, which sleeps up to 7. A large, well equipped kitchen diner with wooden furniture and slate floors has two steps leading up to a well proportioned, carpeted living room with a beamed ceiling and large wood burner and comfy sofas and chairs.

There is a shower room and a galleried bedroom with a double bed with memory foam and a single futon.

Wifi is available and plenty of parking space.

French windows lead to a private west facing patio with garden furniture. Situated in half an acre of garden, mainly laid to grass, surrounded by natural hedges and wonderful birdsong. Dark nights for star gazing.

A peaceful retreat on a country lane and yet only a few miles from wonderful beaches, wildlife areas and family attractions.
It is on the Marloes peninsula, an area renowned for:

Cycling the quiet and surprisingly flat network of country lanes.
Wind surfing, kyaking and sailing in the boating centre of Dale.
Diving and snorkelling in the marine park around the head of the peninsula which offers some of the richest marine life in Britain. Visiting the off - shore islands of Skomer, Skokholm and Grasmere where thousands of seabirds including Puffins nest every spring and seals havetheir young in autumn.
Surfing at Newgale beach.
Enjoying the blueflag beach of Broadhaven or Little Haven with it's restaurants, shops and cafes.
Lovely villages with a selection of renowned restaurants, cafes and pubs to chose from.

Within easy reach of ancient St.davids, Tenby, Oakwood and The Preseli's.
The County town of Haverfordwest with all the amenities it offers is only 9 miles away.

Little Haven

The Barn is only 9 miles from the County Town of Haverfordwest with all it's amenities and yet it feels miles from anywhere! In the height of summer it is unusual to be able to be so close to the coast and yet be so peaceful and secluded.It is situated in an area of country lanes with flowering hedges and fields, wonderful for cycling and walking. It is only 1 mile from the Coastal Path.Go in one direction and you come to Little Haven with it's cafes and restaurants and the blue flag family resort of Broad Haven. A little further along the coast are the sweep of Newgale Sands, popular with surfers.In another direction are wild sandstone cliffs leading to isolated sands and coves. St. Brides Haven is idyllic and famous for it's clear diving and snorkelling in a marine park.A short drive will bring you to the water sports centre of Dale, famous for windsurfing and sailing.The Barn is on Marloes Peninsula with the wild and wonderful Marloes Sands and the bird islands of Skomer and Skokholm. Boat trips run to see the Puffins and Gannets, Grey Seals and dolphins and porpoises.
