Location description from owner

Northern Ireland region

The fishing is superb throughout the county - Lough Erne trout fishing is from March to September; Salmon fishing begins in June and ends at the same time (there isn't a closed season for bream, eel, pike or perch). There are many islands several with Celtic and early Christian remains and taking a cruise is easy. On Boa Island (connected by bridges) is the pagan Janus Figure in Caldragh Graveyard and at 2000 years old it's one of the oldest stone statues in Ireland. There is also great birdwatching and watersports. Portora Royal School in Enniskillen is also where both Oscar Wilde and Samuel Beckett went! Many of our self catering holiday cottages in Fermanagh are ideal for families and several will even allow you to bring pets along.
