Description from owner

'Splink 'View is spacious and extremely comfortable house covering approx 2,400sq ft. The views of the bay are breathtaking from the decking/barbecue area and from the sun lounge .The house is a few minutes walk from all amenities and is ideal as a base for discovering the many interesting sights in Clare, Kerry and Galway.

Liscannor is a stones throw from the world famous 'Burren'. There are many walks that one can enjoy and there's nothing nicer than returning to LIscannor in the evening and sampling good food, traditional music and of course the Guinness. Impromptu sing alongs regularly occur with locals and holiday makers many of whom are very talented. Most of the pubs have music several nights a week.

Very Good

“Wonderful House and a Magnificent Setting”

Reviewed 23 Aug 2017

Splink View is not your average self catering house (and I have stayed in quite a few), it is really quite a special place. To start with, the setting is lovely with magnificent views of the sea. It is peaceful and private and yet just a short walk from the village of Liscannor which is home to great pubs and restaurants, one worth mentioning is Vaughans seafood restaurant which is excellent. Liscannor is also an ideal location and base,on the Wild Atlantic Way, to tour and discover Ireland's West Coast. The house itself is oozing charm, with a very comfortable and spacious living area, a great deck and seating space for BBQ's and enjoying the wonderful views. Everything we needed was generously supplied and we really appreciated the library of books, paintings and decor left throughout the house for us to enjoy. The well kitted out utility room with a good size washing machine and dryer is also a great facility, especially for those engaging in watersports in the area. Overall, I would highly recommend the house and thanks to Julie for her generous hospitality.

Owner's reply: Thank you Roisin & family. We are so pleased that you enjoyed your visit to our holiday home in Liscannor.

“Perfect spot a holiday”

Reviewed 2 Aug 2017

Even before we arrived we knew we were dealing with lovely people who couldn't have been more helpful and accommodating. Julie was great at arranging a check in time to suit us and then letting us feel right at home. The home itself is large, spacious and very welcoming. There were 3 families in our party including a toddler. Julie even provided (at no extra cost) a travel cot and high chair. There was ample space for everyone to relax in the evenings with the large sitting room and sun room. The decking area and outside dining table provided a beautiful space to eat and relax and were used everyday. There are gorgeous, expansive views over the bay and back to Lahinch from both the decking and the balcony (which was a particular favourite spot of the younger ones). Especially beautiful at dusk, with the tower ruin in the foreground and the lights of Lahinch in the distance, the view is enough to make you want to stay. We could find no fault in this house. There was nothing lacking and the huge amount of books was a big hit with the readers among us. While we had the run of the house, Julie and William were very attentive, being just a text or phone call away should we need them. I would highly recommend this house to anyone thinking of staying in West Clare as it is perfectly located to visit all that West Clare has to offer. This house is especially suited to large groups holidaying together.

Owner's reply: Thank you Michelle. It's important to us that visitors to our holiday home and Liscannor have a great experience and go home with happy memories. You would be welcome back anytime. Enjoy the rest of your summer. Julie
